Re: [ROM] rasbeanjelly [Android 4.2.2_r1 JDQ39] [PRODUCT_DEVICE := mako]

If flashing the new koush-integrated build, should I disable my chainfire supersu before the flash? I don't see the uninstall option as it is system integrated and also want to be sure about the timing of adjustment. Thanks.

Just flash the new build, supersu will be uninstalled automatically :)

Alot of people here aren't MIUI fans though. Too much against against their fascist totalitarian closed source cheese.

What a backwards view to have! Their ROMs are fantastic ffs! Who cares if it's closed source or not? It works, and that's all that matters.

I for one am ecstatic for MIUI v5! :D

Anyway, I'm rocking the latest build of RasBeanJelly along with Franco's milestone and couldn't be happier. Way to go, RasCarlo!

Help! My microphone button has disappeared and I no longer have the "say Google" on Google now voice search anymore! I did a clean install today cuz my phone was a bit buggy for some reason! But now Ive done everything to my knowledge, anyone else can help? It is enabled in settings as well to be on main keyboard and I did flash his latest gapps! I would really love to not go back to my previous backup lol, this time my ROM is running like it should!

Re: [ROM] rasbeanjelly [Android 4.2.2_r1 JDQ39] [PRODUCT_DEVICE := mako]

I can't get the navigation quick launch shortcuts to work. I make the changes in settings but only the standard Google now shortcut is there. Can anyone suggest what I might be missing?

Configure it the way you want it, and when you're finished, hit the save button on the bottom right.

Did you make sure google voice typing is checked in settings>language and input?

Yeah! I reverted to my backup and wiped cache and flashed the ROM again, it seems to be doing fine now, if need be I can try again

Re: [ROM] rasbeanjelly [Android 4.2.2_r1 JDQ39] [PRODUCT_DEVICE := mako]

Can anyone please post the last rasbean 4.2.1_r1.2 for me? I wanna go back to my old radio (which doesn't work for 4.2.2), so I prefer to go back to 4.2.1. If anyone has it, please share it. It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm having a weird problem with OpenVPN on this ROM that I didn't have on PA before. I can't for some reason, tap on the checkbox in the screenshot.

Anyone know why?

AW: [ROM] rasbeanjelly [Android 4.2.2_r1 JDQ39] [PRODUCT_DEVICE := mako]

Just had my third reboot within a week. Evertime while i was watching a YouTube movie...

Am i the only one having this problem??

Installed the newest version of rasbean with 4.2.2 radio and Trinity TF111-1836-4.2.2-ANY...

Are reboots more likely rom or kernel related?

I would say more kernel related, try go back to stock kernel and monitor.

Is there any way of disabling the Google Now shortcut? I'm finding a couple games I play require swiping in an upwards motion and it often triggers the google now page, obviously I have disabled the google now feature completely but it still takes me to that 'quick search page'.

Can I disable the shortcut completely?

Yes we can customize the nav ring shortcuts so you can just remove Google now

Maybe try changing any kernel settings you have changed back to stock and see if they keep happening.

    there are some things in the last few weeks that made me sad.

    first it was about rassaber:
    @sparksco, a developer who has his own projects for few devices, took the time to bring all his optimization goodies to rasbean. i thought whoa dude, thanks. he has done all by himself, all the tree, the commits, the tweaks, everything. result was an optimized rasbean. after the initial hype, somebody started reporting some slowdowns, lags... well things happen, nothing is perfect but it seemed to me that many didn’t realize all the work @sparksco put into it. and that made me sad. something like: hey bro i want to help you and plant a tree but if the fruits are bad, i will blame you and go eat somewhere else. that is not nice.

    second it is about all the blue thoughts and feeling about rasbean:
    one day i decided to look around and read what people think about rasbean, and there is so much love but also so much ****.
    I had to read about people talking about rasbean as
    a CM kang
    a dead project
    a rom by a lazy-developer
    a cherry-picked **** build
    a stupid rom
    an old rom
    no theme chooser? **** rasbean
    no customizable tile? **** rasbean
    no DSP? **** rasbean
    and then read about users saying rasbean doesn’t have that because it is too hard for the developer to implement it, doesn’t have that because rascarlo doesn’t know how to, rasbean is not optimized with GPL/LINARO/GCC5000/BS/BS because he doesn’t know how.
    LOL

    this, LOL.

    rasbean is rasbean, I am proud of my build, it is my work, it is mine. i won’t talk about other roms and their “developers” because it won’t be fair. i speak for myself. rasbean is a result of what i know, of what i am able to do, java, some python, some c++. and i like to be honest first with myself and then with all the people who run my builds: i see no pleasure or fun to fork and tweak tons of repos with cherry-picks from linaro/codeaurora/etc/etc because that is too much for me and it won’t be my work. i admire CM, PA, AOKP, carbon because they are products of a team and they know what they are doing. PA is unique, it is a piece of art, they chose their path and there they go. CM is CM. AOKP i love them, WhiteHawk and Roman, they have fun and don’t fill their bellies and mouths with ****.

    third was the disappointment:
    so i build rasbean, rasvanilla, rassaber. my code is and was always there since day0, everything is there, no hidden repos, no unavailable source, everything under the sun. my git history is there, rasbean was not born in one day, i didn't tweak the frameworks in three days.
    i was always encouraging people to learn to build from source, from my source. helped people to set up their building environment, set up Linux/Ubuntu, learn git, learn eclipse, and wtf
    when i was away and a new tag was dropped for some missing repos, i remotely helped to build a new version with the new tags up to date. Ok i am not here to make a list but i assume you see my point.

    rasbean is my thing. and it is sad to see users ****ting on it. it is not only a rom for me, it is something else.
    i understand i can't close the threads and force users to build from source because some don't have the time/wish to build from source
    so yeah there will be builds again
