'priv-app' folder??

I have an inverted version of Google Play that I always use - it's proving impossible to use on Android 4.4.2 though, thanks to apps like Google Play now being kept in that 'priv-app' folder. Normally the Google Play app is in system/app.

Titanium Backup, for example, cant 'find' the apk of anything in the priv-app folder, so uninstalling the ROM's version of Google Play and installing my own (using Titanium) is not working...

Any ideas anyone? Or is replacing any of the apps in the 'priv-app' folder just not possible?

1 week using this rom.
the first 3 days the battery will drain very fast :crying:
in the fourth and fifth day, I noticed a stability in the use of the battery.
I like Halo AORP works perfect. It is one of the reasons that I have not changed LX Rom.
Use Dark Kernel, because with the Kernel that came in the zip of the rom, I had problems with Wifi was very slow.
Performance I have the following configuration:
Processor: SMARTASSV2, Minimal frequency 122Mhz, 1209Mhz max.
Scheduler: SIO
Profile: Energy saving.
In memory management I have not moved anything, I left by default.
I've come full day without charging. At midnight I get to 25% battery.

thanks for your work. :good:

Well, I replaced the google play app in the gapps zip - then once I flashed the ROM I made sure not to go online till I'd installed Lucky Patcher and applied the 'Stop Selfupdate' patch for Google Play. Seems to be working so far.

However.... any time one tries to apply a theme the message 'Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped' comes up which definitely isn't good. Many themes don't apply properly either!

A few more things I noticed..

1. Where is the clock? It doesn't show up in the status bar even when I specify that I want it. Maybe the theme crash I specified above knocked out the status bar clock? I don't know.

2. It's WAY too heavy on the battery.

3. The usual JB alphanumeric keypad I use won't work on this ROM. That's a deal-breaker for me because QWERTY on the Ray is a joke. Back to previous ROM!

I am not using this ROM personally, however, I find the normal QWERTY keyboard is also way to small (unless its in landscape) However, I tried the gesture (ie swipe keyboard) (with auto correction) in portrait and it was sooooo usable, I would not think of using anything else now. I also tried it on a larger phone, but found the larger screen too big to use swipe. Its faster than I am even on a computer keyboard. Before I tried it, I had heard about it a few years back and scoffed at it thinking it was just a gimmick, but it really does work.

Brilliant. What swipe keyboard are you talking about? There's lots of them.

I am using the standard keyboard of my ROM, but I think it is an option of all KitKat rom keyboards; mine is a standard android keyboard (AOSP). Go into "settings"/"language & input" under "keyboards & input methods", click on the settings icon on the right for the keyboard, and then select "Enable gesture typing" and while there, turn on "Show gesture trails"

If you don't find it, I previously used the Google keyboard available on play, on a 4.3 rom as it was only 20mb, while the rom keyboard was 40mb.

Z1 Keyboard

I'm using this Xperia Z1 keyboard since my day 1 of this ROM. It works brilliant and is lite on the ROM, takes just 6.12MB. All features works perfect. You can find screenshots as attachments.

I know that this is not the thread for this device, but I think you stopped looking into this thread:

Is it possible to get an update with KitKat for the Iyokan (Xperia Pro)? Or has the support for this device finally been quit?

I'm not quite sure if my request is right in this thread or if I should request here.
I really would like to get your BeanStalk/AORP KitKat ROM for the Iyokan (Xperia Pro). But if not happening let me say thanks for your work so far!

Is this rom look exactly like official cyanogenmod 11?

I mean you didn't add features from AOKP or ParanoidAndroid or Carbon or Slim or others? Pure CM11?
