Hi ogo2,

Has there been any progress on fixing/stabilizing the bluetooth, we still cant send files directly from a laptop to the phone as it just wont connect.

Also a small little bug I've noticed, I use the Direct Message shortcut so I can one tap a message to a particular contact, however on your software when i go to select that shortcut It should ask me to pick a contact I want the shortcut to be for but it wont display any of my contacts. On stock it reads my sim contacts fine.

Right Button, Add to Home, Shortcut, Direct Message, Select Contact.

Hi

I have been reading some of the post above, how can people fit many applications on their phone?

I have about 9 applications installed from market with APP2SD installed from the market but my phone internal storage only has 15mb. Pretty much all the 9 applications are installed to SD

Any help?

And also can i update to the latest revision without deleting my data/apps

Cheers.

Assuming that you installed APP2SD GUI from the market, did you first make EXT partition(s) on your SD Card? If so, then, did you flash the Darktremor script above mentioned?

I've installed rc4 yesterday and the phone have many reboots (~10 in less than a day).
I had similar reboot issue, Heres what solved it for me

1. Never let your phone internal memory go below 20MB (Will definitely result in a reboot)
2. When you switch on / off your wifi, donot operate your phone for next 3-4 secs. (Do not even flip up your notification bar)
3. (Not so critical) When resuming from lock screen, donot lock your phone immediately.

The main culprit for unexpected reboots is low internal memory. Now i am running my phone non stop comfortably for 2-3 days without a reboot. (I typically reboot my phone once in 3 days)

Hope it helps!

Ps. I am running RC4 of this 2.3.3 with HTC sense.

On this ROM, I'm clearly running out of internal memory. On another ROM I had around 72 apps (using app2SD). On this ROM I have a mere 50. I don't mean any offence as this ROM will remain on my phone because the new Sense is just irresistible and I just cant leave it! But is there some other solution to this problem to the lack of internal memory problem ? (please dont prove your ingenuity by asking me to remove apps -_- )

BTW, I've utilised App2SD on this ROM and have removed the "data" part on many apps to get some space yet I'm only left with 2-3 MB
Ok based on the latest comments, I guess I have to flash some dark tremor script.

Where do I get the script? Is it ROM specific or can I go to the official site to download it? Can you please link me to it? Thank you.

Now to the partitioning. I've a 8GB card. So how much should I format it to? And what should be the file system? Can you tell me a software which will do this for me?

First, you get the script from here. Backup all your sd card to your computer and after that, follow these instructions for installing the script. Finally you can install the a2sd gui app from here. Good luck!

OK guys, here is all you need.In shorts: Please install Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5.3 Beta 04 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719164 , make ext2 or ext3 partition on sd card (for example 512MB), activate a2sd in terminal , move cache to sd , and that's it. After all after instalation all my apps i have 150MB free internal memory (before cache sd i have ~50MB free and it still goes down). Turn of debugging USB, it very increase battery life.

I have installed the Darktremor script and install and A2SDGUI it keeps popping up with "Maybe my version is below 2.7.5.2"

Why is this?

Hi there,

I have just installed RC4.

I am getting frequent reboots and i am sure its not a memory problem for me, i have been monitoring it after reading your post. I didn't touch wifi and lock.

Know any other reasons for reboot?

Thanks.

I have the same problem. The memory issue is irrelevant for me too.

I've partitioned my SD Card ad upon proceeding to flash the script, I get an error.

Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the Clockwork 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip package
Installation aborted.

I also tried by doing the "toggle script asserts"

But that DIDNT work either

Hi,

Are you sure? coz it solved the random reboot issue for me after i moved even the davlik cache onto my sd card. (Till then my memory would go very low quickly on connecting to the net).
Can it be due to an app? (May be juice defender?) I removed it when i moved from rc3 to rc4.

Moving all my apps and the devlik cache using the darktremor GUI solved the random boot for me atleast.

Would like to know other's exeriences as well. Probably it will benefit ogo2 in building a perfect rom for our Legends :)

P.S I have been using this as my full time rom from 5 days now without any force shut down. I formatted my SD card completely (no cache/backup). This is a completely fresh setup.

Still experiencing massive amounts of rebooting with Wifi woes. Sigh. Even waiting 10sec or so doesn't help. Turning on flight mode doesn't help either. Except forgetting the AP and re-entering the password. This is the only major annoyance.

For those having trouble with DarkTremor Beta4, try using Beta3 instead. I can never get Beta4 to run in ADB. Flashing Beta3 always works for me.

Are you using any live wallpapers? live wallpapers was the culprit for my reboots. For those with limited internal memory, an alternative is to dl titanium backup which allows u to transfer all apps to SD card w/o fiddling around with command prompt/flash or whatsoever. just dl titanium backup from market and transfer, its simple.
