ogo2,

Love the progress on the rom.

I would like to make a few changes to mine though.

If I want to restore the original lockscreen, boot animation and remove the CRT on/off animation how do I do it?
Boot animation is stored in /system/customize/resources and you can replace it directly in the zip file.
You can't change lockscreen and CRT animation now, because the ROM is odexed (RC4b).

What you can do is to get RC4 and find the htclockscreen.apk from deodexed marvel rom and replace the file. The CRT animation is hard to remove. You have to backsmali one of the frameworks.

ogo2,

Could you provide the file and tell me exactly where to put it, I have tried before using root explorer and it always says theres not enough room when i try to paste things in.

I love the improvements to the phone but im really not a fan of having to put a green phone icon into a circle in order to answer my phone.

Would it be possible for you to provide a more stock odexed version of your rom with the original bootscreens, lockscreens etc that come with the offical salsa 2.3.3 rom?

Great release! It's been running very smooth and stable with me so far. This is easily the best rom my legend has seen to date. The only thing I hope can be fixed is a2sd or data2ext working.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot ogo2!
Just installed the ROM. Works great!
So much faster than my rooted stock 2.2 ROM.
I have also reinstalled the apps I had using Titanium Backup... While I used to have 18-19Mb of free storage, I now have around 60Mb!

A question, in setCPU, I am able to overclock to 787, but you only recommend 768. Is it safe to go up to 787? Also, in my 2.2 ROM, I was able to overclock to around 800MHz.

Great ROM!

Thanks. You can use 806MHz if you find it stable! :)

Ok, here we go...

Do nandroid backup of your RC4b and exec these commands:

Code:
adb reboot recovery
adb shell mount /system
adb shell rm /system/app/HtcLockScreen.*
adb shell rm /system/customize/resource/htc_bootanimation.zip
adb push [COLOR="red"]PATH:\[/COLOR]HtcLockScreen.apk /system/app
adb push [COLOR="Red"]PATH:\[/COLOR]htc_bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk
adb shell chmod 644 /system/customize/resource/htc_bootanimation.zip
adb shell umount /system
adb reboot
Use the attachments bellow. Don't forget to replace the PATH: with the file path you saved the attachments! :)

P.S.> If you replace these files in the ZIP file, do not forget to delete the HtcLockScreen.odex from the /system/app directory.

Hi ogo2,

Great Instructions thanks, I am now using my preferred lockscreen and the boot animation is back to stock default.

Do you have similar instructions regarding the CRT On/Off animation?

The Superuser application has been force closing repeatedly! I cannot grant root to any application anymore... help?
If I fix the permissions in recovery, when I reboot it tells me something about UIDs and that I have to wipe cache or the ROM may be unstable.
Even after wiping data and cache, I am having this problem again....

No. There's no way to do this mod with commands...

Just try to clean the Superuser cache and data from Settings/Application/Manage.

Are 10-20 restarts a day normal? I can't use it like that.
No, they aren't normal. Try to do a clean install with wipe.

i have rc4 and want to go to the rc4b. i have the darktremor script and an ext3 partition on my sd.

What are the steps to upgrade to rc4b without losing apps and data?

For the people experiencing lag, especially after unlocking. Have a look at your cpu settings. Changing interactive to ondemand governor may help. It seems some people can run interactive without problems but I've had lag with it on pretty much every rom I tried. Ondemand works just fine.

Someone mentioned juicedefender but it doesn't work for me. When I enable it, my phone randomly turns off and won't come on again until I remove the battery. Without juicedefender, everything works fine. Any suggestions on what that might cause this?

Great rom! Been using it since the beginning. How would I go about adding frequencies to the kernel? I would like to run 825...

Back then, when I was using Cyanogenmod 7, I just flashed the new nightly build and after that, without rebooting, darktremors script .ZIP file.

That always worked well for me ;)
