Don't know if CWM is the issue or not but which version are you using? Some of the CMs use 2.x.x this one requires 3.x.x.

Edit: Just had another thought, and maybe a long shot, if you are coming from CM which HBOOT are you using?

I have an idea, you may have a corrupt download, on your PC if you have a zip program like 7zip or winzip or even pkware try doing a zip test. If you dont have, try and extract the files in the zip, if you can do that without error then the zip is ok.
I believe because this rom is deoxed you need to wait a while for dalvik-cache to be built.

I have downloaded it 4 different times. :(
All other ROMs working very fine on my Legend.
Though ; i will try zip test. That's a great idea.

I have waited till 20 reboots at a time.

Thanks.

hey, i've been all day trying to install dt a2sd with no success, even when i install the script it says it's been installed correctly enjoy a2sd, and so on, but when i go to the emulator and do the a2sd check it just keeps saying "not found"
i just don't know what else to do, i flashed all of dt a2sd versions, with the newest recovery, with the oldest, but i keep getting the same messages
any suggestions?

OK here's your solution, I spoke out about this issue about 50 or so pages ago, you cannot flash dt directly, there is not enough rom space left, you need to delete about 9mb or a bit more just in case of stuff from the rom, I deleted a whole heap of apps from the /system/app folder, it is up to you what you delete, I deleted all the social apps & Widgets and Google maps in order to create enough room.
Once you make enough space you can then flash dt, use the beta 4 version it seams to be the only one that works.
Good luck.

Well finally!!! I tryed with links2sd, ESFile explorer, root uninstaller, root uninstall, well, a bunch of programs, and I just couldn't uninstall anything to make room for the script. Then I tryed reinstalling the rom, but the results were the same. Finally, I saw someone in a forum said that if everything failed the last thing to try was to open the zip file in the pc and erase from it the apk's and the odex's files you didn't want in the rom and then install that modified rom. So I did that, and inmediately after installing the rom, i ran the script. At last, I can say I did it, now dt a2sd is working on my phone and I am now restoring my backups. Lost all morning, and probably messed up big in work, but I think for now I won't have any more problems with the phone, it's finally working just as I wanted. Hope other who had similar issues installing the script find this solution useful.
Thanks everyone who helped, specially both of you ranger and caretaker for your quick answers.

Obviously you are s-on, there is a special method to delete files from /system you need to do it via recovery mode and either adb or android commander or you can use the force remove apps feature in titanium backup.

So... that's how I found out I'm S-on, the ugly way, btw, but well, now I know it for the next ocassion. Thanks ranger.
Shash, I recommend you change your eclair to at least froyo, do it the same way you did when installing your current rom, then you can think about rom manager

hi htc legend comunity... i get Legend as my primary phone now, how's is development progress going on? Can i expect further updates on this device?

Overall i like the phone, it costs me few golds but i really like it...

it would be pity if this model support will go into sunset...

Cyanogenmod is still updating their roms daily, for now, they stopped cooking nightlies though, so Kang started doing some!
https://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=legend <-- Changelog
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398573 <-- Rom

There is, of course, this rom if you want to stick with Sense and Ginger

There is also a ICS rom out, but it's very glitchy, and development seems to have come to an early halt

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1438027

And finally, if you want a modded CyanogenMod rom, with some custom tweaks to make run/look better:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361941

Good luck!

Also, there is 0% chance HTC is going to send out more updates for Legends.
