I think he means it will only hiberbate and not turn off

If you want to disable the fastboot option, then go to settings, power and uncheck the fastboot thick.

Just a idea...

Would it be possible to take the WiFi driver from 2.2 and decompile it.. Then compile it against the 2.3 kernel? To be honest I have no idea on howto.. But as mentioned.. Just an idea..

I'm not getting latest Facebook updates synced with the latest version, is that because you removed stock social apps? I've installed Facebook from market but i can only get contact sync.

What .apk's from /system/app/ do i need from Alpha3 to get Facebook update sync to get working again?

This is not flashable ZIP. Check your free space with df if you push some of the files to your /system/app folder! It will be better if you know what you are doing.

Some of these apps will be included with the first beta. Only need someone to help me with the damn wifi...

If you really must have the apps on system, but lack the room to do so you have use a custom partition layout (you need S-OFF for this). See my post on custom MTD partitions for more info

This wouldn't be needed. I will put some apps in /data/app on install with some of the next releases.

The main reason i deleted them is to have faster flashing and first boot.

I seem to manage just fine, I use 3g watchdog and I rarely go over 250mb. Then again I'm not constantly on my phone browsing the web either.

F#*k the wifi.. just fix the Bluetooth and the ROM will be perfect for me.. Coz my headphones working by bt..
