another problem is that superuser is not granting rights to apps so this rom isnt of much use :Z
I can't imagine that being *too* hard to fix though.

Has anyone had a proper go a getting WiFi to work? I read somewhere that the WiFi modules have to match the kernel - so if you flash Blayo's kernel you would have to port the WiFi modules from that rom. I don't know if that is possible though.

Also, did WiFi ever get fixed on that 2.2 HTC Aria port before the official Legend 2.2 came out? If so, that might give us an idea of how to fix this one.

1st of all kernel I prepared doesn't include Wi-Fi modules. 2nd, Wi-Fi won't be so easily fixed... one way is approach I used with FroYo port from Gratia (Gratiend) which includes at least some shell scripting and hex editing and of course knowledge on how underlying system works.

Unfortunately I'm no help here, I don't have the knowledge required. I've had a read through the old Gratia thread and it seemed as though it was difficult to get the WiFi working, so it'll probably be difficult again this time.

Also, do you think the G-sensor would be hard to fix?

Ok, I've just had a play around with this. My opinion (I encourage you to ignore this, I'll put it here anyway)

New sense is nice
Stop using the amend script, use edify scripts (updater-script and update-binary)
With regard to the install script: don't assume that the /system partition is mounted (it does currently)
I wouldn't put too much effort into this until we get an official ROM to play with.

Just my 2p ;)

@BlaY0: I have extracted the original boot.img and did some modifications in the init scripts trying to fix the WiFi and Bluetooth. Can you help me with the building of the new boot.img? I'm runing Windows and have too many problems to build it. :(

I have attached the content of the modded ramdisk and i can send you the zImage too if you can help me with this.

@ogo2 : use HTC Android Kitchen to extract and rebuild boot.img.

Anyway, I sugguest you shouldn't waste your time for this test rom, atleast until the Wildfire S is officially released.

According to Three UK that won't be until May!! Anyway, if someone manages to get some of the bugs fixed for this ROM you could probably fix the final ROM, yes?

First you need to make it work. Do Wi-Fi and BT work already or not? Constructing boot.img is the last thing you have to worry about.

Besides... as I said earlyier I wouldn't put too much effort into this...
