Try RR first. You'll never use another sense ROM.

Also, menu>settings>about phone>baseband version. If you've never flashed a radio, you likely have 07.28

You are correct on radio version.

I was looking at RR, but I cant seem to find any notification bar themes I like for the battery that are compatible with it. I dont know how to use the Android SDK or how to edit any of the files so Id like something thats visually stunning out of the box.

Find a battery icon you want, and post a link. Ill make a flashable .zip for you.

I guess that depends on which thread you're in. I was referring to Redemption ROM. This is by far the most stable, smooth sense ROM available for the Inc.

Cool. That's the one I thought you were referring to. I've been loving Magnolia lately, but I'm itching to test new waters for a bit. I'll give this one a go based on your recommendation.

I have been trying to upgrade from an earlier version of the ROM.

When I install, I get an error while flashing kernal:

assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img".,"boot"):

E: Error in sdcard/clockwordmod/download/redemption_rom_2_4_final.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Any suggestions?

Download from the link in the OP. Sounds like you got a bad download.

Anyone know if the theme porter here works for this rom's framework. I have my eye on a theme that I would really love to run on this rom.

Could someone please update the trackball wake zip file to make it work with Clockwork 3.0? Or does someone have a version that works with CWM 3.0? I get a scripting error.

Thanks!

I think you can search for and use the amend2edify tool yourself to accomplish this, but im not speaking from experience. Never used it.

Have you tried this? Is it possible to port a cm theme? I found a matter blues their that has a sense version but I can't figure it out.

Ooh boy. Uh.. Porting a theme for CM7 to a sense based ROM is going to be a bit more complicated than using a theme porter. The .apks used by the system are so much different from sense to AOSP. Sense also has a LOT more images than AOSP does, so to keep the consistency of the theme throughout your device, you'll have to do a lot of the image editing yourself.

Try to port another sense based theme instead.

Hmm. I'll have to experiment a bit. That matted blues theme is too sexy to pass up.

Can anyone explain the differences in user experience between redemption and redemption revolution both in the senseless state?

I am currently using redemption revolution 1.0 and am going to do an update. The only real issue I have with 1.0 is when I receive a phone call sometimes and you navigate away from the call status, you can't get back - when turning on the screen if it timed out it automatically turned back off.

The one feature I really like in redemption revolution is the ability to quickly switch states (bluetooth, wifi, etc) in the notificaiton drop-down. Does that exist in the redemption rom?

Also, is redemption revolution senseless still being updated (saw it was still at version 2.0 - I assume 2.3 does not have a senseless script?)

Thanks.

Switching between this ROM and CM7. So far I like it but the boot animation is absolutely terrible. Flashing android penguin and RR everywhere... come on.

First thing that has to go is the bootanimation when I install.

Fantastic ROM though. Really enjoying it.

Agreed on the boot animation. It sucks. Period.

Is the voice search fix? It FC on 2.04.

Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

Never had a voice search problem in 2.0.4 so i'm not sure if it helps at all but mine also works in 2.0.5.

Nice work I haven't flashed yet but wanted to know if any 2.32 kernel will work? Also is rosie removed?

Theoretically yes any 2.32 kernel should work however everyones phone handles kernels differently. I would suggest staying with Hydra he is a very reputable dev and has been making quality kernels for a while now.
