It runs delete_recursive on preload and copyes the one included in the zip. The zip included folder has subfolders empty
EDIT: I checked dual boot with paranoid android.
Chameleon as first rom
Paranoid android 3.00 as second rom
Dorimanx 8.12 as kernel
Chameleon boots normally and works sweet
But paranoid android does not boot. I can turn on softkey backlight and turn off. Just black screen.

about preload

When we want to mod an updater-scrpit of 4.1.2 ROM to put it in 2nd ROM, we do not have to manage \preload\ in updater-script , all we need to do is to manage extrat in \system\ and \data\sec_data\ for apks because , when we boot in 2nd ROM, \system become (or =) \preload\.
In CWM, for installing, we mount \system\ and \preload\ and \data\ but the real extract is done in \system\ (for example \preload\ never existe in my modded ZIP and have no pb with it). When i boot in 1rst ROM, i see \preload\ which contain stuff of 2nd ROM. But as i have 4.2.2 in 1rst ROM, it works.

If i want a JB 4.1.2 in 1rst ROM, i think i have to manage apks in \data\sec_data\ too for it, no ? it could work with a 8.xx DorimanX kernel.

I remove the delete_recursive of /preload and the extract of preload from the scripts.
Nothing exceptionnal, I just try to put it available for everyone easily.

Alliance rom doesn't want to work for now. I am in research.

hey guys, don't want to sound like a noob or anything, but i want to make sure its 100% safe before i proceed so i dont end up with bootloops or anything. So i have Sammy JB rom as first rom but nothing for second and also have the latest v8 Dorimanx kernel. Will i be able to flash a AOKP 4.2.2 Rom straight to 2nd Rom? Thanks for any help

in practice, most of ROM contain KERNEL and MODEM.
you can try:
initiate 2ROM
flash a 4.2.2 ROM in 2nd ROM
reboot in recovery
reflash last DORI v8
reboot in 2nd ROM.

I think it could works. If Not, try the last DORI v9.

i don't have any idea about the % of succes, so Make Nandroid of 1rst ROM before

with my configuration, 4.2.2. and 4.1.2 , and when i try v9.10 (v9.11.1 or v9.12 i suppose too), i have this likely image when i boot in 2nd ROM :

haha well i know what not to install then! Might as well just have a crack at it and try to install 4.2.2 as 2nd rom. If i do end up in a bootloop however, all i have to do is remove 2nd Rom and it will be fixed?

i have tried all rom alliance , from 4.0.3 based with siyah kernel in dual boot 2rom
any other rom work, but with alliance rom i have bootloop any time- alliance rom work only in primary

I have completely rewrote the script from scratch but it keeps making me crazy for now...:silly:

Without kernel, no modem, no wipe because came from LS8,LSJ,MS1 blablabla. And i never wiping at all except when i change some framework or systemUI.
