This pad is not listed on Asus the site. I registered my device and have access to the kernel code, if needed.
I can't seem to find the YouTube. Any chance you can share the link? Priced at $179 at staples now! Nothing comes close at this price range for 10"Found directions on Youtube, by searching ME102a root. You have to use a chinese root tool. Disclaimer: I did not try this and I did not post the video, try at your own risk.

Also found this while browsing...has good recommendations and also one click...so no separate adb etc...

Go to the about in the settings. From there, go to the Software information, and keep hitting the build number until it starts to count down. This unlocks the developer menu, which you need to enable usb debug (ADB).

Another user just posted this on the transformer forums. I think I'll wait for root until we have a better option.

Wish i would have seen this earlier, but it's too late now.
I did the Asus update which popped up right when i turned the tablet on, then downloaded and ran Kingo One click, and all was rooted and running great in minutes!
So far so good, as long as the problems dont bite me in the butt
Have you tried "package_extract_file("boot.img", "boot");" ? ( boot without slash / )
Note that "write_raw_image" don't work with cwm.
EDIT:
You can use RKAndroidtool to flash your part, with the good parameter.
