This should absolutely be stickied and updated everytime a new firmware comes out. I just flipped all the way back to LEN and had to go through 4 updates to get to LI3!

Thanks so much for this compilation, including links to TriangleAway.

Sorry I'm new to sprint. But what does the counter mean? How many times you flashed a custom recovery/ROM?

It counts everytime you flash a custom kernel/recovery in Odin. You can see it by booting into download mode. It's not affected by flashing in recovery or mobile Odin but most people triggered it when they rooted the first time cuz they flashed cwm or a insecure kernel to do so.

Thanks for the response, I get it now.
Is this something that sprint set up to see if they voided their contract by rooting the phone. I wonder if there are any consequences??

No its not sprint who's counting.
Its a Samsung thing. If the phone is sent to them for service, they will deny you warranty. Sprint says its ok with rooted phones but most times they will check your counter too if u need to get it fixed. Always better to keep it at 0 rather than chance it
This should give you some insight as to its purpose. And some background info http://www.chainfire.eu/articles/118/Triangle_Away_vs_Samsung/

You can also buy a jig online for 2-5$, that never makes your count go up. I've used the same one for my S, S2, GNex.

Does this include the bootloader and secondary bootloader for li3?

Sent from Galaxy SIII

No I didn't include them as they didn't seem important. Don't see the point in messing with boot loader stuff if not needed. Planned on making one tonight with the lif jb leak. I Will include those. Can do it for current li3 if its wanted but seemed pointless to add otherwise

I was curious. I have the li13 firmware to flash if needed. I just remember on the epic touch that sometimes bootloaders don't mix very well with different rom versions. Say for instance someone wants to restore from the leaked jb rom it might ne a good idea for them to flash the correct bootloaders

I've tested that so far it seems bootloaders dont matter between versions. LEN bootloaders work all the way to jb LIF and vise versa. To ease any concerns tho ill upload full versions of li3 and lif tonight
