That's error -2
Error 20 happens when the phone's images are not stock (mainly boot.img)
So either stock images still have to be reapplied with magisk -> uninstall or the images restored by magisk were not stock.

I'm trying to root my device running on NOS 1.5.4 (already unlocked the bootloader)
I have already downloaded the patched boot.img
However whenever I try "fastboot boot [patched_boot.img] the device stuck on nothing logo then it reboots itself to the system and the root isn't installed.

152 has uefisecapp broken, 153 not hotfix bluetooth, we don't know 153 hotfix.

I have not rooted my device . I just flashed 1.5.3 hotfix and was trying to update but installation failed error was comingFastboot roms have some corrupted images.

We dont know which one on 153 hotfix for now.

If anyone is looking for a script for mac or linux on fastboot roms.
Here is mine I used.
Just chmod 755 the file and make sure that adb and fastboot are symlinked correctly in your pc or mac.
Note: I just tested this on NOS fastboot rom 1.5.4 and 33.0.3 platform tools

Can you kindly share the steps for using the QFIL ROM? I cannot fastboot flash any ROm because my bootloader is locked. I have used the EDL Unbrick tool reptedly and it has not fixed the issue.Update! : 2023/05/05 20:00 (UTC+9:00)

I think v1.5.1 or later can be used for all types.

If every boot image found online results in a bootloop then the boot partition is not the main problem.
Many people have tested the ones in that thread, when problems were found i was alerted and worked to fix them.

The fastboot roms are fine, it's the user's context that can cause problems!

Thank you, but I have changed my base of operations to Telegram because I often felt uncomfortable regarding my activities on XDA.
If ROM updates are released, we will release fastboot ROM and boot.img as soon as possible.
