Thank you very much, I just waiting for this ROM. Is this a open source project
? I will flash this ROM after my coming final exam.

Testing the ROM, i'll get back to you with feedback, thank you for bringing this to our beloved device!
Wow, I use RR on my kenzo... I will test this if I find time!

Things to look for (gotchas that bedevil most custom ROMs for this device include:
- spotty WiFi, especially in mixed 2.4/5 GHz environments and/or upon wake
- bluetooth device identification, pairing (especially w/codes) and stability
- camera(s)
- audio performance (although this can usually be fixed with Viper4)
- screen orientation - both auto rotation and 'pro' orientation w/certain apps

Disregard battery life, performance and/or memory utilization unless severe. All can be addressed with relatively minor kernel tweaks.

Happy testing!

thank

Nice work. And there are some issues I've met on my device:
1.Can't use data traffic.
2.Have some current buzz with using headphone.
3.Camera preview is too dark. And it can't take a picture.

Working:
bluetooth seems can work,it can connect to my laptop. But I am not sure if it is working with keybord、headphone or something else.

Unconfirmed:
GPS Can't locate.Don't know if it's my location problem,can't receive GPS signal?:rolleyes::laugh:
Besides, this OS is very smooth and beautiful.I like it very much. Thanks for the work.

(I'm a student from China, forgive my grammatical errors

- grammer is fine :)
- only LTE equiped HDX devices have hardware GPS capabilities
- LTE and GPS only work with KitKat based ROMs (FireOS, CM11, Fire Nexus)
- audio buzz is characteristic of this device when running custom ROMs
- buzz/noise can sometimes be reduced by flashing Dolby ATMOS or Viper4
- dark camera is also a characteristic on Nougat ROMs (likely a kernel issue)

Pretty new to this Dolby ATMOS/Viper4 fix, where can I download flashable zips of these? Also, since you've flashed, how is this ROM in comparison with LineageOS 14.1 on Apollo? In particular, how is screen orientation?

I (personally) haven't flashed it; stick to Android 6.x ROMs for Xposed support. Both Nougat ROMs should perform similarly w.r.t. orientation as kernels are identical. See LinOS thread in this forum for info on flashing ATMOS or Viper4. Former is easier but latter reportedly offers better audio quality.

Reflash rom + gapps after fullwipe.
If you want to root, Dont need install superuser. You go to settings, scroll down and see magisk, click download magisk.zip, then flash .zip via twrp. Done, device had been rooted.

FeedBack!

Hey everyone! i am sorry i took so long in posting the feedback but i got busy and lazy. But here's the things i have checked:
Bluetooth: not pairing with either my laptop of phones. it can see the devices and it can also be seen by the other devices, but no pairing.
Camera: it's still very very dark. but working
Wifi: It disconnected while playing a video but reconnected itself so that's a plus!
Sound: It seems OK to me while playing videos on Youtube. but maybe i don't know what kinda sound i am looking for lol i haven't installed VIPER or ATMOS yet. though, they are present in every device i own.
Orientation: it is messed up for some games i have been trying like.. Guitar+ and Beat your boss 2.

Overall the ROM is snappy and smooth. I can't test LTE because i am too lazy lol. I'll keep this ROM as my daily driver for a while.
Let me know if there's anything else you guys need testing for.

Edit: wifi is quite unstable it has been disconnecting every 10 mins or so but reconnecting itself.

I just flashed it.
Wifi works well,
Bluetooth can't be connected
As I just use my hdx 7for games and video it's enough.

Hello to current users of RR rom, I'm using L14 and have interest on this rom. Is it stable enough for simple use, like Internet surf, skype, youtube and etc?

RR team has decided to release a final build for N after the September security patches(posted in Google+, new users can't send links). Hope @Protimus will bring the final RR-N build to us too.

PS: I just check up @ggow 's kernel tree and feel surprised and thrilled that he is working at Oreo!!! It's unbelievable...

Yes, I am indeed working on Oreo, I have it booting as far as the boot animation. But I have no logcat access at the moment. It's still way too early to post anything useful as it's all a giant work in progress. When I have made some more good progress will let you all know.

I have a new kernel version in progress, with hwbinder etc plugged in. On the devicetree front I am learning about the HAL changes and the new required interfaces, most of which are in place now.
    2
@Protimus RR-N has released the final build, so will it be convenient for you to compile a final version of this ROM? Thanks.
    2
The Camera function is working a lot better in this update, the low light problem seems to be fixed (Tested it on Both Apollo and Thor).
    2
Yes, I'm going to upload a new compile in a few days, there hasn't been much movement upstream so I didn't want to put out a lot of updates with only minor changes.
