It's up to you. Your choice. I think it's too early to conclude on battery life - I recommend testing longer.

It's the same from the beginning...
On the previous version of Rev-OS yt-vanced wasn't installed from the beginning so I installed via Magisk.
The screen shown was totally different and there was no advice concerning micro-g.
also the splash screen was different....
where do you see that this is the root version of yt-vanced?
OK, I did that too, succesfuly...
But I opend Youtube once before I flashed and it showed up the same Screen.
Since you don`t need MicroG in the rooted Version I am quiet sure that even though it Shows success nothing changed in the app and the version is still unrooted.
Correct me if I am wrong, but like I said in the my post before, yt-vanced looked differnt when I flashed it last time with Magisk in version 90529 of Rev-OS...
I think TWRP flash did exactly what he had. I think so is it´s right. If I run YT now I have logo vanced and settings. Sorry maybe I understand you ... I use it this way not over Magisk and is it working.

Unfortunately it is not possible to copy and paste in password fields, this is annoying if you have to enter a long wlan-password. In other apps like protonmail it doesn't work too.

I have this problem with xiaomi.eu rom too. It is really a pain.
I also flashed via TWRP, but you had yt-vanced installed before you even flashed it, because in rom version 09/06/23 yt-vanced is preinstalled. This wasn't the case in 09/05/29 were the stock YouTube app was installed...

Yes but I after flash always remove via XiaomiADBFastbootTools https://github.com/Saki-EU/XiaomiADBFastbootTools all MIUI / Cloud / xxx ... scrap app and YT too.
