As the wiki says, you can install ANY ROM from ANY unit or manufacturer as long as it matches your processor and screen res. It is Joyous not Joying by the way.

You do not have to flash the MCU as well, you can flash the ROM on its own.

I ve been checking the page for 5.1.1 daily, but I cant see any download link, where are you getting it from ?

You can flash any ROM on your unit as long as it matches your processor type and screen resolution. You can flash the MCU at the same time, or not at all, up to you.
