Special message for beginners now !! Before experimenting with firmware, Check to make first of all that you can to the factory firmware to get into Recovery standard methods described in the header or in the main posts that lined firmware and if something goes wrong, you will be able to return to their firmware.

Who in the device only touch buttons, you can try to get Recovery - click on the Reset needle for a long time, until the lights turn off the buttons and release the needle. According Recovery menu (top-bottom) - short press on the Reset.
Long press - to apply.
In Rekovery If you can not move - connect the USB keyboard

Exclusively for those who have the on / off button is a hardware and software = in the device only touch buttons

3. on the other end of the button is constantly open, closes when pressed (the button in the glove box)
4. collect radio
5. The key to the ACC
6. expect full load
7. stifle deduced button click and without releasing the reset, release the button after three seconds
8. wait for the download Recovery

@Malaysk unfortunately the codec from MX doesn't work. I think the android auto App needs the inbuilt codec, which isn't available in your rom.

I don't know. Normally it's a basic built-in feature of every Android version since Honeycomb.
Have a look here at H.264
So I assume the sources which you use for your custom rom are somehow incomplete...

I meant units which have worked well from peoples own experience.

I need a reliable 4G source separate from my phone.

Or, has anyone found tethering data from their phone by USB reliable? If so does it require root?

I turned off the power icon and screen saver icon in the malask mods drawer app, but they still appear even when turned off.

Tried repeating the settings, reboot etc but they still appear regardless.

That Huawei is available here too I think. Is that functioning directly as a USB modem and not as router like some of their hi-link stuff?

Not always reliable and practical.

I need a separate data source in a van and I need to be in and out of it a lot over a day and keep the phone with me, using wifi hotspot runs down battery etc and is a lot of hassle to plug unplug, charge, hotspot on and off.

It would also be more convenient to have data on different contract sim for business cost purposes.

Use it every day to and from work to listen to Pandora, Sporify, and for my kid Netflix.

I did changed its IMEI to the free phone they gave me. Let me know if you get one, I can guide you setting it up.

1. Completely reworked the button Reset in the status bar. Now the module is not needed. Reboot menu has its own settings, and you can completely change it (color, language, what items will be displayed, etc.)

No, E3372 doesnt work with PPP Widget 1 or is it E3276? Cant remember... check on PPP Widget ver 1 (not 2) forum for working ones.

I don't know. I am using Malaysks rom since I got the radio and I don't want to install the stock rom, because there is option for a Nandroid Backup.

Guys, I've just installed latest FW from Feb 12 on my RK3188 device. And in Partition Info tab there is no section "DATA".
I see System, Internal_SD, Cache, External_SD1/2 and two USB_storages.
Where can I find this DATA and how can I verify that FW was installed correctly?

Just followed the directions and mine has no "DATA" section either. Did you resolve the issue? Which Joying model are you using?
