I like to know why new device can use AF option, some of new on hardware or software. I remember was a mcu problem

My Parrot Asteroid Smart had the function that i could change music sources with SWC.

One key from SWC opens the app seen in video, with the next "cklick(s)" you can navigate thru the list. If there wasn't a "click" after a specific time, the selected app is opened.

something like that would be nice, with one big difference: would be nice to chose the listed apps by my own. That makes it possible to open the naviation or audiosource (or something else wat i want) without taking my hands away from SW.
I don't know, if it is possible and if it's hard work to do that. it's just an idea and would a big spening worth for me

I have a GA5163F (rk3188 800x480) and i installed the latest ROM and the MCU for the radio (ZD 2.81) and my unit gets stuck on the android logo boot screen. There were no errors or anything in the install. Tried to reinstall and did the same thing. Any one have any ideas?

I'd guess you haven't followed the install instructions exactly as your symptoms are what everyone who didn't do the second wipe gets.

Special message for beginners now !! Before experimenting with firmware, Check to make first of all that you can to the factory firmware to get into Recovery standard methods described in the header or in the main posts that lined firmware and if something goes wrong, you will be able to return to their firmware.

Who in the device only touch buttons, you can try to get Recovery - click on the Reset needle for a long time, until the lights turn off the buttons and release the needle. According Recovery menu (top-bottom) - short press on the Reset.
Long press - to apply.
In Rekovery If you can not move - connect the USB keyboard

Exclusively for those who have the on / off button is a hardware and software = in the device only touch buttons

A little help needed. I have 2-din radio for ford focus and today wanted to upgrade MCU and Android system. I took mcu file valid for me and this rom: update_4_4_4_FUSE_1024X600_RK3188_16_MAL_17_03_201 6. Screen resolution is correct. I managed to go into recovery mode manually and then choose to upgrade both (system and mcu), process went fine but after that device is not working anymore. I can't even go to recovery by the method that was working fine few minutes before. No android or radio logo... just black screen like there is no bootloader :/

Any clues what to do? MCU I had was MTCD_KD_V1.27_1 so I got update KD v 2.81

Buy a new unit, you have "bricked" yours. You have a MTCD, the firmware here is for MTCB.

Have you disconnected your HU from all power for 30 minutes to allow the capacitors to discharge? Some times this is enough.

Do you have a physical reset button?

EDIT: Didn't see that you had a MTCD, as Mike said, you're probably f'ed and perhaps contact your supplier or manufacturer.

After you install the ROM, you have to go back into recovery and click on Factory reset, wipe data in order to get out of the initial bootloop. I believe it's mentioned in the word document when you download the rom.

I'll give it a try, however can't get device into flash mode (I'll try with soldered cables). Does anybody know where to get oryginal firmware for MTCD? (yes, I did not make backup as I was convinced it is the same as MTCB wih backup files avaliable on-line).

1 - Connect a USB keyboard to a free usb port on the HU.
2 - Unscrew the top lid to your HU
3 - See my attached image. You are looking for C17. Using tweezers, short this capacitor for at least 5 seconds whilst the HU is on. It should enter recovery. (Be careful not to squeeze too hard and rip capacitor from board or break it)
4 - Using the keyboard, navigate the menu with the arrow keys and press ENTER to select option.
5 - If flashing has no errors and HU boots fine, shut-down HU and reassemble it.

OK, i am officially ****ed. There is no normal NAND on the board - almost all chips are BGA. And radio drained my car batery. I have enough of experiments for today.

What can be interesting - this MCU board have 2x4GB DDR3 RAM modules and 16GB NAND from Toshiba.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the new ROM. I just installed it yesterday and in my case I would give it a 98/100. A few tweaks to do but nothing major at all. GREAT JOB!!!!!
By the way....I couldn't get the new ES File Manager to work properly so I just installed the newest version from the play store and all works great. Also Tomtom works great. Now I just have to figure out how to get the maps to the External_sd2. Great job.

Solution for Tomtom Go (I found it on the Internet) is after apk installation and before map downloading using ES File Explorer or other root access file browser and go to:

/Data/Data/tomtom.gplay.navapp/shared_prefs/ and edit the 2 following files:

com.tomtom.navui.settings.xml
com.tomtom.navui.mobilesystemport.external.path.directory.xml

Change path from internal_sd to external_sd. Reboot your device. I also copied tomtomgo folder mnt/internal_sd/Android/data/'tomtomGo' to mnt/external_sd/Android/data/

Than I no longer saw restriction to download map of Europe (6.3GB).

My problem is that WIFI drops connection before it finishes downloading whole map. I can easily download small maps but with Europe it drops connection after some time. This WIFI issue started after udpdating to FUSE. Many people have this problem:

The cabel company has app called ziggo app. There Can I whats live tv. BUT not on rooted device. I had suser to Hide the root but no luck .

Is there a way to Hide the Root temporery
on the device?
I have the februari firmware.

guys, I think I have the same issue as someone described dozen of pages before - but I found no clue what is the root cause:

Today I took my car as usual and realized that the screen of my HU is just black and the physical buttons has their backlight on. Reset and turning the ACC off and on again had no effect - no boot logo, only black screen... but suddenly it turned out that the touch screen is actually working and the device is working too in the background - only the lcd is black, but I could blindly run the radio etc. After a few desperate resets lcd seemd to be alive again but the HU behaves differently - initially there is no boot logo and after turning the ACC off - HU is turned off immediately. After another boot I have accidentally touched 'eject' physical button and the lcd went black again. After reseting, again - no logo, but at some point lcd is on by itself. Just to be sure I touched the eject button again - and again lcd went black (but HU was still working in the background).

What may cause such behaviour? Few hours before I was driving my car with no issues on HU. I didn't change anything, didn't install anything.... Suddenly my HU started to behave like this :/ Any clues guys?

Is your brightness set to auto? I noticed when it was on auto and I turned my lights on, screen went off. The default night for me is basically screen off.
