Hey guys, the new screen saver looks awesome. Both a speedometer and a clock.
However my speedometer always shows 000.
Am I missing something ? Do I have to enable any options for it to work ? Also, is there's way to have it display in MILES instead of KM ?

Glad to see I am not the only one! It works with the booroondook ROM but that rom is not as good as this one!

OK, I have found the answer. XposedMTCManager was guilty - disabling it resolved all issues with no logo at boot and black screen.

@Malaysk Below is the issue and solution - could be pinned on first page. If someone can add / edit that better - feel free to do so:

Issue: black screen at recovery / no Android logo and no first part of the logo loop during boot / black screen after boot but HU working in the background (touchscreen works even though it is black) / black screen immediately after pressing one of the physical buttons (depends on model)

Solution:
1. go to Xposed Framework --> Modules
2. find module named XposedMTCManager
3. Untick the checkbox next to it (in other words - that module should be disabled)
4. Restart HU
5. Initial logo at boot should be visible now and no more issues with black screens

PS I have noticed that after installing Fuse ROM from scratch with full wipe - that module is installed but not enabled by default. Enabling it causes the issues described above. Was this meant to do anything elese... or am I missing something?

I'm now having them same problem. How were you able to disable the mod without a screen?

The blank black screen is intermittent. I noticed when my screen was working that adjusting the brightness would cause a blank screen at various settings along the bar. Perhaps some HUs can only have specific brightness values.

Is the MTCmanager somehow linked to brightness?

I think the speedometer needs the torque app installed. I swapped out the screensaver for one of the screen savers malaysk posted earlier in this thread.

3. Font size pop-up message when the player plays in the background. Change the number of more, or less. We select empirically.
4. Configure the pop-up message format. In this case, toast.format =% artist% -% title% message will contain the first name of the artist, song title and then, through a dash. Change at its discretion. Try, if you do not like me again.
5. Transparency of the projection image of the tag, or from a folder on the background of the player. The most common question is how to remove it completely. Answer: put in the settings background_alpha = 0.

Does it have anything to do with @7floor sound modification ? - All modules have the firmware and software for the management too - OEM application

Glad to see I am not the only one! It works with the booroondook ROM but that rom is not as good as this one!

If only I knew!! All I get is the TomTom loading screen and then the dreaded "the app is unable to connect to the internet" message! Install the "other" rom and it works no problem, but the "other" rom is not as good as yours!

If wrote "the app is unable to connect to the internet" - I go to Settings - Apps - TomTom - Delete all data. TomTom Start again

Trust me, tried that many times, deleted data and cache, makes no difference, I have even copied all installed files from my other HU which it works on as that is using the "other" rom and I still get the same message. Maybe it's the make/model of my HU that is the issue, but that would still not explain why it works with the other rom.

I use stock home page but the name of icon are too big and i can see half of it.
I tried to change font and i set size to 80% but the size of it not change.
Solutions?
I.e. i see jer aud and not jet audio

I have just upgraded my GS RK3188 800x480 to the 17/03/2016 ROM and it is an amazing piece of work. Thank you @Malaysk.

I have one problem, the unit has to cold boot everytime I start the engine even though I set it to stay on for 30 mins. It worked perfectly fine on the stock ROM.

example. On the stock ROM I could stop the engine, take out the keys and if I re-started the engine within 30 mins, the unit would instantly be on. Now if I do that, the unit has to do the 20 second boot up sequence every time!

Has anyone experienced this?

I was restarting the unit several times (both soft and hard way) and finally the screen re-appeared. Hmm if this is somehow connected to the brightness setting and you have set it to auto (depending on the daytime) - maybe try to do the same on the other part of the day?

Last two days tried to install various roms with mixed results sadly nothing worked yet.
Now I know my model is not MTCB family. So cannot flash as single update.img file and cannot enter recovery through hardware as for now.
1] extracted custom romes and replaced boot, system, oem and misc img files in stock firmware folder and flashed,
everything works but stuck at recovery. did clean wipe and install from storage but sd card does not show or failed to mount. please check pics.
2] when reboot at that stage , it starts without problem but no sound , what might be the problem? it reboots itself every 2 minutes!!
3] thought reinstall MCU but factory setting password does not work tried 126/ 3368 (stock rom code), is there any workaround.
4] I feel some problem may be due to mixing up stock firmware and custom firmware file .
5] attached stock firmware folder , can anyone suggest what files could be removed and still flashed automatically.

can anyone suggest something /help thanks

All we have done correctly. In RK3188 a different serial number - it is a longer, than that of RK3066 !!
