Hi,

My device originally is MTCB-JY-V2.73 / 4.4.4_28032016 / RK3188 1024*600 Chinese HU.

Have a problem with rear view camera on my RK3188 head unit. Just after the boot camera works fine (on +12V HU switches to the video input and shows camera view). After 5-10 minutes of work, HU keeps to switch to rear view, but it shows exclamation mark and no video. I've checked wiring - it is fine, I've checked camera itself (connects to laptop via TV tuner) - it works. Also I've connected different video source (TPMS) to the HU - the same behavior. But in several minutes it can start to work / turn off again and so on - I can't figure out steps to reproduce / any dependencies.

I've changed MCU firmware from 2.73 to previous 2.5.. - the same, tried different Android images - Malaysk FUSE and Booroondook FUSE and original JY firmwares (include previous one). Didn't help.

It looks like I have a problem with hardware in video input circuit. Maybe someone has similar issues and knows what to check / how to fix?
I got similar issues. I've openend a thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...-qa/problem-reverse-cam-canbus-error-t3360888

I have not found a solution yet, I actually had disconnect my reverse feed trigger (orange wire) to be able to use the unit (I've connected it to front cam and use AVIN to get reverse cam when needed).
I suspect it might be the can bus decoder unit, that is faulty.

i am using the correct mcu , i had the headunit 2 yrs ago and i updated it many times so i know that i am using the right mcu version , as every thing was working normal until upgrading to malaysk march firmware !!
i think i am not the only one i had KGL 3066 1024x600 unit
I dont think it is a malaysk rom issue as you had stated you tried going back to the stock firmware and nothing was working and most developers state dont upgrade the MCU unless something is broke as it may cause something to break. Malaysk versions are nothing more than a stock android OS with addon apps that provide more functionality there is nothing that would prevent the stock ROM from fixing an inconsistencies.

After the last update (4/23) my stock music player no longer finds the music on my sd card. I did a fresh clean install. I have the mtc-music folder on the root of my GPS sd card and xposedMTCMusic is enabled. JetAudio finds my music, but not the stock player. Is the ini file looking for music only on the GPS sd card or that has nothing to do with it?

I had the same issue initially too. In the music player sweep the screen to the right, then you can select the source location for your music. I played with this for a little bit until i found it.

So..
I loaded the xposed module mtc-music 2.0 and also copied the mtc-music folder which was on the new firmware to the root of the GPS microSD.
However, I don't see any difference on the music app.
Can anyone tell me what's the difference ?
Also, the screensaver that shows the speed still shows 000.
Am I missing something ?
I know a while back Malaysk said he will make it work with GPS.
Maybe I need to download a new version of the screensaver ?

Thank you guys for your comments

Update first page - download links

@Malaysk

Please update first page / download links to be easy to find latest ROM releases.

In other XDA threads, devs use to post in first post almoust at the top the latest news, changelogs and link to post with latest ROM release.

It will help lot of people to find the latest stable release and not to flash some previous (and then start posting issues).

Thank you for all great work and support!

It sounds like you connected your camera to the video-input rather than the rear cam input. The rear cam has nothing to do with Android.
It's directly controlled by the MCU, hence you can view the rear cam before Android is up and running. Normally the cable color is purple for the rear cam.
Your HU-reverse cable must also be connected the car reverse-trigger, i.e. +12V.

I accidentally flashed the wrong update.img, a ha img on my pumpkin(kld) head unit and now it's soft bricked as I can't get it into recovery or bootloader. Is there anything I can do? I've tried putting the right update.img on both a sd card in the GPS slot and on a USB drive in the front USB port but neither did anything. I can get to what I think is a bootloader but most of it is off the screen, I just see the edge of an orange highlight bar and a bottom line, there's 7 options available though.

On the latest RK3188 ROM(from 19 Apr), I have installed and activate the MTCMusic in the XPosedMTC, also I have copied the /mtc-music/mtc-music.ini file on the GPS Root card, but my speedometer is still shows 000.

In Factory Settings, the CAN bus settings is configured on "No CAN bus".

Any advised on this? Extra settings should be configured in mtc-music.ini file?

Thank you

You have to update. Do NOT wipe !
Speedometer takes infirmation from the GPS, not from a CAN bus

What if you have wiped the data from the 19th to the 23rd? is there any way to get the speed to work?
@Malaysk Also just to add my personal experience. I love this rom. Its fantastic, with tons of options to look and work exactly how u need it to. Thank you for all your hard work, and i am super glad you are ignoring all the muppets who personally attack you for no reason.

With regards to TomTom when i tried it on the 19thApr rom it gave me the same error (could not connect to internet) even though i downloaded TomTom from the play store just then over my wifi.
So far i have tried a full factory wipe\reset, then installed the 19thApr rom , then reset again, installed 23rdApr rom (with wipe option), activated exposed and all relevant programs. Will test TomTom on new rom tonight.

thanks for your reply friend (sorry about my english)
i connected it rear cam input and on my head unit have canbus decoder box.
i figure it out now there is no power on cam power wire if devie is off
so i wired the cam with reverse +12v and now even device off reverse cam work well

i connected it rear cam input (which says cam power) and on my head unit have canbus decoder box.
when device is on rear cam is working as normal on reverse shift but while booting if i put reverse shift its only black screen no rear camera view
If it's controlled thru the Can-bus I'm pretty sure you need Android up and running before the Can-bus box works. In that case, control the
rear cam control from your rear white light +12 V rather than your can-bus box. It's normally an orange cable with a black strip which is the reverse control
in the HU loom. It's activated with +12V.

Link: just reach 10 post ... sorry

I changed the status bar Malaysk RK3188 800X480 April 23 but I think that works for all.
Thanks to Malaysk and his collaborators.
Can anyone provide ... Xposed-mtc-radio-1.7.apk to operate RDS in the new screensaver.
Thank you.
