On the latest ROM on eonon ga5162, default 126 password doesn't work for factory settings? Other than that it's the perfect rom!

Same for me on a 2 weeks old Eonon GA5165F. Cannot find factory setting password.

Same issue for me. It worked sporadically in the beginning but now it doesn't work at all. Quite odd.

Anyone have an issue with the new "experimental" release where it doesn't come out of sleep? It works fine from cold start, but after switching off and sleeping for a few minutes, it doesn't turn back on - just a blank screen - have to push the reset button and wait a minute.

This is on KGL.

Same issue for me on occasion. I find I have to reset w/ button. If you do reset with button do you see your boot animation fully or is black until the end of the animation? IE, you just see the end part of the boot animation.

Biggest issue is that I can't do anything while having a call.
How can I change the bootlogo to some more neutral standard logo (company car) from Hyundai (first 2-3 seconds while booting) ?

Dev is very emotional for his logo look and feel, even many people find it not so nice. And it is not possible to change it without rebuilding ROM as per dev statement which I doubt.

So there is another thread here for requesting that boot logo change. Look that thread.

And unfortunately you will also just have to deal w/ not being able to use the device at all during a phone call. I can't even really see my navigation (Unless I have it open on top prior to answering the call). Seems dumb for whoever originally created this ROM to do it that way. It's a hands free device so people will be using the phone while using navigation, etc. why not allow them to actually see the navigation while on a phone call??

ok, edits are needed as read wrong on that first instance..
On a positive note..flashing updated now since been on the same fuse ROM since last year and no problems here..

Flashed - No wipe..
Bluetooth - Working fine, same settings as before
Tethering - S5 CM12.1 - Fine.. connects no problem
Here Maps - new version working - upgraded to check.. working fine..
Warz - Fine just had to adjust settings.. check photos
Maps - Fine
Sounds, mine are fine, I am not a perfectionist but its got the depth I like and I have a range of music from house to Blues that blasts out of the unit and speakers.. more then enough for me..
Everything else is fine.. personally i dont have a problem with a call coming through and it over top of the Nav software as it is still working and guiding me.. really, I am driving talking and can see where I am going.. what more do I want.. more distractions are going to be a danger..
Here are screen shots of my setings that have ben working for the last 6 months.. if its not broken it doesnt need fixing.. maybe I have been lucky and just got a unit that works.. fingers cross i get another 6 months with out problems.. but for now.. I take it 4x4 driving and find the gps is perfect for what I want it for..

Who can show me how to reduce transparency of phone buttons when I recieve a call ? I don't see a reason for showing radio buttons when my phone is ringing.

READ, "Originally created this ROM", not Malaysk's version, the original ROM he modified. I already spoke to him some time ago and he said he could not resolve the issue.

But I is not activated guard, something I'm doing wrong.

AUX IN is not for video (but for sound only). Use AVI IN.

It is deffinitly for Video in. The radio has two RCA connections for video: CCD AVI in and AUX AV In.

Is it possible to pair bluetooth serial devices with this ROM? I have a little ham radio device (http://www.mobilinkd.com/) that pulls in data from APRS over VHF and uses APRSdroid to interpret these packets, plot them on a map, allow sending of packets, etc. It connects over BT-serial and works fine with my phone (Xperia Z3) and tablet (Nvidia Shield) with no problem. I would like to use it with my HU (Eonon GA5163F - 4.4.4/MCU ZD)

To those who still have a problem with connecting OBD devicenamed differently than "OBD".

I have a Vgate OBD2 interface which is additionally secured by PIN 1234 that is needed to connect. Unfortunately, it is shown as mobile while searching for the BT devices. Here is what I did to get this working (using ES File explorer Pro):

1. Be sure that you have Xposed framework and MTC-Manager module installed. (You can find it HERE)
2. Create "mtc-manager" folder on external sd card.
3. Create a file settings.ini withing that folder.
4. Open the file and type there: obd_device=Vgate (where 'Vgate' is your BT device name of OBD interface)
5. Restart the unit.
6. If your BT device is connected - disconnect it!
7. Go to BT settings and hit 'find devices' button (be sure that your OBD device is now disconnected and it is not listed)
8. When the searching is finished - connect your OBD device, turn the ignition ON and then hit 'find devices' once again.
9. This time your OBD device should be found and listed with OBD icon instead of mobile icon - if you managed to achieve this, we are at home
10. Simply pair your OBD device.
11. Be sure that appropriate device is chosen in Torque.

The next problem is how do i manage the standard media player app to find music stored on my usb device.

I have a little problem with this firmware.
On my radio, I have to video-in RCAs: One for the back (reverse-cam) and one AUX in.
When I try to use the front cam, the screen stays black. If I use "AVI IN" it works.
Is it possible to change (maybe route) that?

To fix your button light issue, go to the factory settings section of the head unit. Once there, go to the "other" tab and make sure the rgb led settings is set to rgb and that the key light setting is set to on. Apply changes and reset the head unit.

If I understand your second question correctly, simply go to the music app and swipe the screen to the right. This should reveal all music locations and folders in a pane on the left hand side of the screen. You can then choose your USB device and pick your song.

Did you installed the last rom (from last sunday)?
Did you put the 3 folders coming with the rom on your gps sd card?
Did you enabled the modules in xposed?

And the last thing it is based on gps, so need a working gps signal. So check that also

Hello to everyone

I had a little Problem with my Joying Device (RK3188 + Malaysk April 23, 2016). I started my car and the device was booting up.
After a few seconds it showed an error message on the screen. It said somthing like he couldn't start/found something... (i was driving so i was not able to look at it in detail)
After 3 seconds i saw the "android man" and "deleting files...." .... and he really deleted all data :/
Then it started normaly but all my configuration was gone.

Any idea what happend?
