Hi, I have an Eonon GA5165F. (RK3188 MTCB-ZD9-V2.72 800x480). All is good, very good. I have not flashed MCU.

Intalled this today on my pumpkin 5.1 HU. Its working great but it wont save the boot animation/logo to my car, it just shows dancing androids now during boot even after setting it. Anyone had this or have a fix?

Hello,

Just installed the FW on my Joying unit. All is looking fine and dandy and the 3g device is recognized. Much nicer than previous versions but I keep having these freezes when I use Waze (which is the reason I purchased this unit in the first place). After 1 hour (more or less) of driving the unit freezes an I find my self taking the wrong way. I had the chance of testing it in very long drives because I went on vacation. What I have noticed:
- The GPS once lost, never recover unless I restart the HU. It shows the satelites but it doesn't pinpoint me on the map. I used the option of restarting the GPS but it does nothing. This happened twice in a 10 hour drive.
- When using Waze the HU freezes and restarts itself or I have to restart it manually. This hapens a lot, every 1 hour. At some point I lost the road and took the wrong exit on the highway. This is the worst thing that could happen. I constantly have to check the app if is working as freezing happens when you need directions the most. On my phone this NEVER happens.
- if I lose 3g signal, it never recovers. I have to restart the unit to have 3g again.

For its purpose this HU or FW doesn't meet my demands. If anyone had these problems and can give some pointers in setting this to work properly I would appreciate very much.
I will try the factory FW to see if this hapens also and then I will conclude that my unit have some HW problems because this behavior is not normal.

Eonon and Erisin are sellers only, they sell stereos from several different companies, including MTCB stereos, so "GA5162F" and "ES8990US" are names made up by Eonon and Erisin, they mean nothing to anyone.

To see if your devices are compatible go to settings/about device, if the letters "MTCB" appear before the MCU number, then you can use this ROM on your devices. Its best to refer to your unit by the 2 or 3 letters before the MCU number - "KLD", "KGL", "JY", "GS" etc.

@superman2k2, the Rockchip PX3 is simply a renamed RK3188, but the unit in the link is not an MTCB unit and is not compatible with this ROM. The one in the picture in your post is compatible with this ROM.

@paccefierr, if your device is dual core you cannot use the Lollipop version of this ROM, only KitKat, you can also find out if its dual core or quadcore in settings/about device.
