Pretty sure you cant cos Rockchip chips need to be updated with a .img file. You cant flash MCUs either, which is why custom recoveries arent used much on MTCB/B units.

(You dont have an Eonon - "GA5163F" is a made up name by Eonon - they are sellers only, they sell units from a variety of manufacturers, to find out what type of unit you have go to settings/about device - the 2 or 3 letters after "MTCB" will tell you what unit you have.
That makes sense. And I know all eonon basically does is custom fits these units for various cars, just a new realm of Android to me with rockchip. So are my only options to stick with the nearly unusable stock Rom or try and find the stock recovery and re flash that?
Edit: I found stock firmware through your signature (mine is the ZD) but am running into the problem of not having stock recovery and not being able to flash through clockworkmod. Is there any way to use terminal emulator to flash? (It's how I flashed CWM) I'm guessing no because it's replacing the system and the system would be running if terminal emulator was up. If not is there any way to extract only the Stock Recovery from the Firmware Udate.img and just flash that through terminal emulator? Or what is the best way to flash back to 100% stock without needing stock recovery?

Radio

Hi,

I'm using last 12th June ROM for RK3188 and I'm having troubles with the RADIO apk. After I store all the radio stations I want in the 3 FM panels, when I return there after some time, for instance next day, I lose all the station that I've stored. This is the only problem I found until now in this ROM. I'm using the radio.apk red version. The apks that you download separated from the ROM.

Any help please!

Hi guys
Good job.
Depends on my DVR switched automatically implemented in the software it is poor and does not run me automatically. It works on Dailyroads voyager 4.1.1 only application is not responding to limit the space for recording and recording stops. The problem is that the recording to the SD material lost frames.
Top record material for NAND, was previously 1Gb SYS + 14GB NAND now is the time and how crammed into pelan NAND is a machine probably will not start. Is it possible now to extract the NAND one partition about 3 to 5Gb?
It seems to me that this can be done only at the stage of formatting the disk during installation image but may be wrong. IGO and run it without the sound, time or two he was. New soft so they will compete with the settings. At the moment it gives more possibilities than the original so happy, I greet contributors firmware well done!
I asked earlier if there is somewhere a list of supported modems, 3G / 4G USB but the speaker did not answer, maybe now?
Take care

I would revert to the standard recovery, how I m not sure how though, I d guess through CWM, have you read all this thread and the wiki, plus searched the original thread for details on how to revert ?

They all do that, you need the MTC Service app, this will allow you to store stations.

I have just updated the ROM to the latest version from MalaySK, but... NEXT Launcher is missing?
Um , install it then !

I can't find a update.img that only contains the Stock Recovery. If I could find that I could hopefully just flash it through terminal emulator. I can't flash any update.img at the moment because it all goes through the stock recovery. With CWM flashing update.img is not possible or I would just flash the whole firmware package. I searched all over last night and couldn't come up with an answer or a stock recovery image.

You can try extract the recovery from stock rom using imgrepackerrk v1.0.5. After extract, using nandroid manager from playstore to flash the stock recovery.

I downloaded it based on your recommendation, I'm in over my head on that tool. I don't understand how to use any of the commands for what I need it to do. I need a "imgrepackerrk for dummies" manual. Lol. I'm about to a point I'm just going to sell the car with the unit in it and say forget it. Three days trying to flash a rom all because I figured "android, custom recovery, flash your rom" done it on plenty of phones before... not the case with mtcb units I've found out... I definitely feel stupid right now.

the command is easy, just type as below

imgRePackerRK update.img(which is the file name of your stock rom) in the dos command prompt.

it will create another folder "update.img.dump". inside the folder, please find the image folder. The recovery.img is the file you need, copy the file into SD card. Open nandroid manager, under recovery, select flash new recovery then select choose file from SD card.

I have done this when I wrongly flash the recovery partition which made the HU can't boot into recovery(blank screen).
