That makes sense. And I know all eonon basically does is custom fits these units for various cars, just a new realm of Android to me with rockchip. So are my only options to stick with the nearly unusable stock Rom or try and find the stock recovery and re flash that?Pretty sure you cant cos Rockchip chips need to be updated with a .img file. You cant flash MCUs either, which is why custom recoveries arent used much on MTCB/B units.
(You dont have an Eonon - "GA5163F" is a made up name by Eonon - they are sellers only, they sell units from a variety of manufacturers, to find out what type of unit you have go to settings/about device - the 2 or 3 letters after "MTCB" will tell you what unit you have.
Edit: I found stock firmware through your signature (mine is the ZD) but am running into the problem of not having stock recovery and not being able to flash through clockworkmod. Is there any way to use terminal emulator to flash? (It's how I flashed CWM) I'm guessing no because it's replacing the system and the system would be running if terminal emulator was up. If not is there any way to extract only the Stock Recovery from the Firmware Udate.img and just flash that through terminal emulator? Or what is the best way to flash back to 100% stock without needing stock recovery?
