[ROM][RK3066/RK3188][SD/HD] Malaysk ROMs Android 4.4.4 for any yet known MTCB-Device

I've been running the Malaysk ROM on my Autopumpkin Headunit (RK3188 - 800X480) basically since I got the unit about 8 months ago. I enjoy the software and the stereo but something has always been bugging me. I don't receive any notification sounds from my phone through the speakers in the car. In other cars with OEM bluetooth stereos this works but I don't think it has ever worked with this unit.

My phone is paired with the stereo and other bluetooth functions seem to work as expected. My phone is capable of pushing these sounds as it works on another, more basic, stereo that I have.

Does anyone have any experience with this? maybe suggestions of something I need to enable?

I've finally got a work around for notifications from the phone showing up on the headunit. It was mentioned before in this forum if I'm not mistaken. Search Join app on the play store, it allows notifications on your phone to be forwarded/mirrored on your headunit. You can even reply to SMS's and view WhatsApp and email text. I've paired it with Floatify (installed on the headunit to customise the notifications to be nice and large) and u can swipe to remove once you've read it.

I battled at first for Join to be reliable in terms of connecting to their servers, but noticed after enabling Sync for my chosen email account it seamed to be perfect. Please note this function requires both the phone and headunit be connected online and there is a slight delay. There's no option via Bluetooth though. I trust this helps, for me its better than checking the phone every time my phone beeps!

Also, I use Tune Announcer for pop-up notifications at the beginning of every audio track, nice for new music when I'm using TomTom.

Ciao guys, I first off would like to thank Malaysk for this awesome rom, as I mentioned on the donation's comment, it brought my HU to new life!
That said, I am slowly getting used to the new firmware, and I am basically personalizing as much as I can. I am currently struggling with the front media hardware keys (it's a RK066 UNIT with 4.4 800*480), and in reading this long post I found out the way to control it should be the exposed module mtc-keys, is that true? If so, am I wrong or it is installed by default? If so, I did all the things with the xposed framework (I am not new to it) but no matter what I do, I won't see any option available anywhere to get that module working... Should I just play with configuration files somewhere? So far I've been looking for GUI panel but no luck... Any help? thanks everyone

Jup I post this a time ago. Join is a real must have for this device. You can use any messenger like facebook WhatsApp
Also you can use laptop. To communicating with your device also get the location of your car. Push mp3 files to you device and so on. It's simple to get in the play store.

When i hit the 3 dot menu the only option is exit - I open viper from the settings menu, hit the 3 dots, and exit is all I get - it is enabled in xposed - any other suggestions? Loudness works, and fader/balance works, but no change in equalizer/tone adjustments - I get a message that it will not work without patch & hardware modification, if that means anything -

They will only come through if the Bluetooth mtc app is open (the one used to play Bluetooth music)

1 - how to change screensaver to clock ? (i have speedmeter but blank one)
2 - my phone call (bluetooth) are only mono speaker, how to change to have in my both speakers?
3 - How to set a key to launch source switcher and google search vocal commands?

after opening the radio.apk or other app that uses audio, automatically MusicXMatch starts in background, I've looked in the settings of MusicXMatch and cant find any option related to this behaviour. Anyone knows how to stop MusicXMatch for auto starting as soon as I launch the radio app? This is very anoying.

here all the apks are. Unless 3066 is void of some apks that 3188 have. Sorry, but I have a 3188.

I have just tried ReadItToMe. I set it to Car Kit and Mono. I can now hear my SMS and I understand I should be able to reply.
I played with it for just a bit and was amazed. Finally I hear who it is and the message. You can set it to almost anything. Its 2 weeks free..

Use the engine the Google voice of its own engine?

Do not yet know, I just played with it driving back from picking up some food. Do you mean google voice or?

Yes I mean that. Because there used I think a tts engine . But do you have it on your phone or on the device. On your phone it will be not so buggy I think.

On phone and it BT to device as Car Kit.

I bought it to see if I can voice text back. Under 3 buxs

So is there a way to make a call via the head unit from Google? If my phone is connected via Bluetooth? For example do a Google search for VW dealers. Then click on the phone number and it will call via my phone thru Bluetooth.

Yes you use Google voice search. But it is very buggy on this device. And there is no solution at this time for Google voice.

There is one annoying thing about join app. The keyboard!!
When you answer a message the keyboard has no button to swipe the keyboard away to push the send button. I hope that join apps will help us to make a 1024x600 and a 600x800 version

One question. I have pcradio that's my main radio player. It shows title and artists in the status bar. Is there a work around to have a nice customized toast message. And no status bar notification?
Because the status bar is fully load with icons buttons and so on. The title and artists of the playing song is hardly visible.

Hello everyone, I apologize for the banality of my questions, but I can not find the solution, and the beginner with Malaysk Roma, I have a 1024x600 rk3188 is I installed the latest version of the October 2016 malaysk rom android 4.4.4, I would like to figure out how to remove the left menu that appears with recent app, how to remove or add pages in the homescreen, and how to operate the speed of the widget on the homescreen oppuer replace it with the now even better!
