Hello guys,

is there already a workaround for the Bluetooth problem with the ODB2 adapter?
I have a Naviskauto unit (quadcore 1024x600) and flashed the most recent ROM.

Sadly, the OBD2 adapter can be found when searching for BT devices, but pairing fails. When clicking on it, a prompt appears, asking if you want to pair, but after that, no window opens for entering the PIN of the OBD2 adapter. Thus, the device cannot be connected.

I already tried finding and editing /system/etc/init.d/com.bt.sh, but this file doesn't exist on my unit... I also tried disabling all eXposed modules and rebooting, but also without any success. My phone was disconnected and deleted in the head unit for these tests, so it could not interfere while attempting paiting with the OBD2 device.
I finally got this to work on my Joying unit. My OBD dongle is named CHX, so in the exposed module I entered that. It still wouldn't connect. Then the other day after I upgraded to the latest malaysk image I ran the bluetooth app. It also has a spot to put the OBD dongle name. Once that was done it connected.

Hello,

i face an issue with last firm (october) with my 4.4.4 RK1366 unit.
Indeed, when i make a phone call through bluetooth i have only sound in the right loudspeaker.

Is it a bug or can i set stereo for calling?

Thanks

You need to disable the system music player in the all apps section in settings and apps. And for the other take the tick out the box to turn off notifications do that in the all apps again.
Thanks
the first issue solved, the other one solved after reboot :)
now, I got another issue on Xposed, I cannot open the module; I want to hide some buttons (on the top) but I cannot open the module (error "the module doesn't have graphic interface", I don't know if this is the right translaction)... I've already tried to remove and install again the xposed but nothing changed... do you have any suggest to solve it?
thanks
I'm Running the mod of Sept. 18 RK3066

EDIT
I got to check this:
This folder must be copied to the SD card sd_external (GPS sd card). The folder is included in the archive. Here are his settings that you can configure:
status_bar.ini
EDIT2
I checked and I've already put the four folders on the GPS Card

You need to change the status_bar.ini:

6. Added new module for Xposed - mtc-statusbar (do not forget to activate it in the Xposed). Settings are in his mtc-statusbar folder and are called status_bar.ini.
This folder must be copied to the SD card sd_external (GPS sd card). The folder is included in the archive. Here are his settings that you can configure:

status_bar.ini

# true - Скрыть : false - Показать
status_bar=false

You need to edit the StatusBar.ini people have found that they need to format the sd card to ntfs on a pcb then copy all the folders again when you have edited statusbar.ini

Hi Guys,

I had the Jan/Feb version (first one that combined the flash) and it was working cool. Over the summer the machine reset itself twice. I can't tell you how or why but I restored it from a titanium backup and it wasn't really a big deal. Last week it did it again but then two days after restore the radio stopped working, the bluetooth stopped working and the buttons (home and back) stopped responding. Everything else seemed fine.

At first I thought it had something to do with a some process error I kept getting (com.google.process.gapps or something like that) but then I got a lot of bluetooth not responding errors as well.

Yesterday I updated to Oct 4.4.4. (which looks cool BTW Malaysk!) but same issue. I found out today that turning off my bluetooth on my iphone 5 allows the radio and buttons to work. I tried switching the bluetooth "program" in factory settings but nothing seems to work. Could this be an iOS update issue? I didn't update my phone until sometime this summer and perhaps the new iOS isn't talking to my android until very nicely so it stops responding? Or is it more likely an android software problem?

Any insights would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi again,
something very bad happened to my HU today with the latest Oct Malaysk ROM...
Everything was working fine today morning but now - after turning on the igition my HU won't boot. Instead I can only see recovery screen with the following info:

Code:
Volume up/down or short power button to move highlight:
Long power button to select:

reboot system now
update system/mcu image from sdcard
update system/mcu image from sdcard and clear all
update system/mcu image from usb
update system/mcu image from usb and clear all
wipe all data/factory and cache reset
recovery system from backup

recovery system v4.4.43
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
It happened suddenly, I was not messing with anything before, no updates, no new installs - it simply doesn't work anymore without a reason. I was trying removing SD card from both slots but nothing changes....

It seems that no storage is visible, no matter if it is external or internal - system is not booting. Is it a hardware related issue or there is anything I can do to have it repaired?

please help.... :(

I have never done this before. Anyway it seems that even internal storage is not visible.... could it be some fault on memory controller?

When you reboot it, does it reboot into recovery again? Does your headunit have an reset button?

After fresh boot I see Malaysk's logo (as always) for a few seconds but then instead of having car logo I see the recovery mode. After reboot the behavior is the same.
The funny thing is that it last in recovery even if I take the keys out. After grabbing the keys I need to hard reset in (the pinhole) to get it shut down.

please see the picture below - this is everything I can get.

ok I have taken HU to my home and wired it with a spare aku so I can play with it.
I tried to connect the HU to my PC via USB cable but it seems that if HU is in recovery mode - PC doesn't seem to see any device connected :/

This is the typical behavior when the device has been formatted and no rom exists. Based on your description I can't tell if you've tried to reinstall the Malaysk rom since this happened...go down to the second option and install from a SD card. There is a chance that the device was wiped as well as the SD card so you might have to RE copy the update.img file.

Good luck.

No I was not trying to reinstall anything before this happened. I have no idea what caused this...
But guys, I have repaired this! Actually you are right that something was wiped somehow as the device didn't want to boot. I figured out the same and tried flashing ROM again but I had the same error - no SD card was visible at all, but then another idea came to my mind. I reformatted the SD card to FAT32 (it was NTFS previously) and put the ROM on it again and inserted into the GPS slot. System didn't boot but now I hadn't the error regarding inability to mount external_sd. Now I was able to update the ROM again and voila! System is alive again (although it is completely fresh and all of my settings are gone....).

Many thanks to all of you who tried to help me! :)
@Malaysk
I think that this important info should be added to the 1st post and to the new ROM installation guides:

1) To update the ROM - it has to be put on FAT32 formatted SD card and inserted on GPS slot
2) To have Statusbar Mod working - /mtc-statusbar/status_bar.ini has to be put on NTFS formatted SD card and inserted on GPS slot

PS this forum is awesome :)

I wonder why no one ever reads the instructions..
Here is a copy paste from the instruction listed instruction that is on the 1st page..

Format the MicroSD card under windows as FAT32.
Copy the update.img to the MicroSD card. You can copy the instructions and other files, but, the update.img must be in the root of the MicroSD card.

Or did I mess something. The Statusbar stuff was added after the instructions where made and updated.

yeah, it was said regarding the update but if someone was changing his SD filesystem to have statusbar mod working - he could simply forget about it as I did :)
