Because my 3166 broke down I didnt followed the development on those roms and stuff.
I saw now that there are new devices with quad and octa cores, but no mods and roms for those.
Is that right or am I just to dumb to find them?

u need to give dev more time as they still new units, iam sure they will do roms for them

There are no "new" devices, there are quadcore soMs for MTCB/C units, these drop straight in and just replace the RK3066, the actual device and MCU the same.

There is also the MTCD series of devices (theyve been out 2 years so not really "new"), these have quadcore RK3188/PX3, quadcore Intel Sofia or octacore RK3368/PX5 SoMs, again the devices and MCUs are the same, the SoM just drops in.

There are custom ROMs for ALL the Rockchip SoMs, dualcore, quadcore and octacore on both MTCB/C and MTCD units, not sure about the Intel boards but probably for them too. The ROMs can be found in the MTCB software section and in the MTCD section.

Also, when voice dialing, it doesn't know which app to select to make the call, so it fails. If I choose the dialer or bluetooth, it also fails. Anyone experience this?

By the way, it's MUCH faster than the regular GApps version.

According to Russians from 4pda (and Malaysk is Russian too), they started these builds because they don't believe he will build new ROMs....

Here is some instructions for installation:

1. Установить прошивку со всеми вайпами (расписывать не буду)
2. Установить/активировать Xposed Framework, на предложение о перезагрузке отказаться, активировать xposed-модули FakeGapps и Lucky Patcher обязательно, остальные - опционально. Перезагрузить ГУ.
3. Зайти в microG, проверить настройки. Добавить учётную запись Google (авторизоваться) в настройках ОС. Опционально - установить последнюю версию microG GmsCore is a FLOSS framework
4. Настроить синхронизацию контактов и календаря. microG GmsCore is a FLOSS framework (Пост realvava #61391871)

Настроить TTS
Скачайте голоса и извлеките архив в корень SD-карты или любую другую директорию.
Не ищите VocalizerEx TTS в приложениях. Это сервис, такой же как Google TTS. В приложениях он не появится
Далее заходим в "Настройки"-"Настройки синтеза речи" и выбираем VocalizerEx TTS как TTS по умолчанию.
В настройках "VocalizerEx TTs" откройте раздел "Папка с голосами",далее найдите папку VocalizerEx и выберите её.
Перезапустите VocalizerEx - выйдите в главное меню настроек и вернитесь обратно. Если не помогло, перезагрузите ГУ.
Нажимаем прослушать пример-при успешной установке вы услышите тестовую фразу

Translate it with Google and hopefully it will resolve your issues. As I can see on 4pda there are no complaints so far...

Thank you for that answer. Now I got it. Like I said I wasnt in for the last year and octa cores for my car just appeared 2,3 month ago.

Think you need the latest version form the MTCD PX5 units, @dsa8310 posted a link to it in @Malaysk's "Factory Firmeware Shareplace Link For All" thread (probably in the last 10 pages I think).

iPhone hotspot connection problems

HI,

I'm using iPhone 7 plus as a hotspot, for the RK3188 unit Internet connection.

I'm suffering from connection issue.

Although the hotspot in activated, the RK3188 (in the WiFi settings) displays "iphone not in range".
I have to play with that connection, and only after a while it recognizing that a hotspot is available and able to use it.

Does anyone met that problem?

I had exactly the same problem, despite of doing everything as said in all instructions.
Finally it started to work after a random ROM reset that occurred suddenly. When I installed everything from scratch - mtc-radio started to work...

After putting the folder MTC_Radio and activate module Xposed, in my case, I have to make a physical reset (reset button of my unit) and starts to work.
