FUSE allows all the internal space to be used instead 1gb or 2 gb as it used to be. It based on custom malaysk rom jan and late december. You can replace the apps with the red ones just go back to the first page of the forum and scroll down past the firmware and you will see it all. Get the latest version and add the red apps. Are you looking JY red apps or KLD red apps?

Sorry guys, perhaps a stupid question but...

What is this "Speed" button in the notification area for? When I press this, my HU seems to do a soft-reboot (UI only) but stucks in the boot animation. So I don't know the need for this button and would be glad to remove it.

Any ideas?
Kills unused apps to "speed" system up. :)

Already thought this, but seems to kill everything and a little but too much [emoji3]
Ive never used it, so you may be right, think of it as the Lollipop task manager's kill all then. I wonder if it can be removed.... I know the brightness slider is supposed to be removable with the mtc xposed module but it doesn't...

It will kill all non neccessary running apps. They have other apps that you can control on what gets closed on the play store. This way you can keep in memeory what apps you want and dont want. I noticed that too, it never goes away even when selected, bug maybe???

I found this modified weather app working. To be installed instead of the weather app that doesn't update.
Rename the old file before installing with e.g. Root explorer in System/app/MTCweather.apk
Hi,
should I root the unit first or I can do this without rooting? Give me advice please which app to use to get to System/app/.... I can't do this with the file explorer.

Thank you.

Don't need to root first. Just copy the right update.img file in your gps card and get into recovery.
Once you are updated your unit will be rooted and also have root explorer to get in to System/app

Hi folks,

I have a Huawei E1820 3G dongle but unfortunately I cant get my Joying head unit to pick it up. I am using Malaysk's latest RK3188 1024x600 ROM from Jan 2016. I can see that the device is getting power ok but nothing is appearing in the status bar. Do I need to try a different MCT or maybe update the firmware of the dongle somehow? Thanks for the help!

I am using Malaysk's latest RK3188 1024x600 ROM from Jan 2016.
From Post #1354 by Malaysk:
The latest firmware modem Huawei 3131 does not work. It works on December firmware.

Unfortunately Chinese programmers completely cut out of the firmware code Off !!!! And now it is very difficult to add! We must ask the Chinese programmers to add this item - they have all the source firmware!

Can you tell me where can I find supported 3G dongles for firmwares?
Unfortunately there are no lists for 3G USB modem compatibility.
Compatibility may change from one ROM version to another, and even for the same 3G dongle according to the Huawei firmware version installed on it.

Moreover, problems to the modem might be caused by insufficient power supply from the HU's USB port.
It's often a try and error approach...;)

Before buying one, it's advisable to find information about models already successfully used by other users, and also to buy possibly from shops where you can ask for a replacement/reimbursement.
