I have a similar type (touch button) not as yours but when i use the reset button i have to hold it until the touch button lights go out then release and it will boot up with the boot logo screen but it will boot into recovery right after it disappears.

As soon as I press the reset button the lights immediately go out

Also tried the quickly repressing but that didn't work either..

I'll be damned, it worked, nice!

I got 21 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. AND it didn't use my hotspot, so I get unlimited 4G LTE.

If more people would try this method would be good for it to be implemented on future ROMs
In my case, for having a really stable connection without disconnects, I also had to freeze with Titanium Backup the Mobile Data and Mobile Configuration. The APN on settings will stop to work but you dont need it since PPP widget has the APN configuration inside.
So if you have any frequente disconnections add this to my method

Hello.
Please help.
In my device is installed on your ROM RK3066 1024x600 from January 10 and MCU KYD v.2.59. When I turn on the device, the screen is black. Lights up after about 20 seconds. Then the device starts up normally. But when I press the power button and then turn it on again, the display is black again. Then only helps restart. The same thing happens when I switch to the AV input or reverse gear.
Before this happened, I adjusted the program Xposed installer.

Hi Malaysk, hi guys!

I think i have the same problem!
I installed latest rk3188 1024x600 ROM on my "Joying" unit, and everythin was fine.
Then i played with Xposed and modules, the first black screen i get when i changed the theme from "light" to "black" the screen immediately turns of, but the unit still works(play musik etc)
I cut the power and the Unit will boot, but the Malaysk bootlogo wont appear.
Then i noticed, when the unit is fully booted up, when i am pressing the "Media" hardware key the unit shows the bootanimation (Audi in my case) and nothing happen until i cut the power.
Then i deactivated all Xposed modules and the buttons works like normal.

But the most worst thing is, the recovery is also completly black scrren.
I think it will still work, because the buttonlights are flashing, and i tried a long press on powerbutton and the unit will reboot.
But i dont remember the the other entrys in recovery, so i cant install/reinstall ROM
Please can someone take a picture from recovery, so i will be able to try install ROM in blind mode?

Hi guys!
I may have had the same blank screen problem.

My device is a rk3188 1024x600 from Joying.
When switching on the device it didn't turn on the screen until it was nearly finished with booting and the screen in recovery was off, too.
And also, when turning the headlights on or off the screen turned black.
Curiously it wasn't like this from the beginning it started some time after installing the custom rom.

But after disconnecting the radio from the car completely and a reconnect, it suddenly did work again.
So I guess it is a loose contact in the "adapter cable" between the car and the radio. (I have one pin on the adapter which is called "alarm+" that I suspect of being the culprit, because it was a bit loose)
So maybe reconnect it, try to not bend the cable in the connector area or check the connection with a voltmeter if you have one.

Thanks for comment.

Sounds like the same problem, I didn't notice black screen from headlight switch, but from reverse gear.
Also no bootlogo bootanimation and black screen in recovery.

I figured out that the problem isn't the whole custom rom, but mtc xposed module.

Right now I installed the latest rom update from malaysk, and all problems are gone.

Try it yourself.

I don't think so, it's doesn't look an MTCB HU, it's not based on Rockchip and should have a completely different MCU architecture.

But Malaysk himself can tell you if it's compatible or not.

Ok, so I think I messed up somewhere...I installed the rom, got it running, however I couldn't verify where the space for apps was. I saw the 16GB for the internal_sd. Am I missing something?

Got to the settimg menu scroll down and look for "storage" it will show you all alloted space to include what is using the space. The internal storage will not be exact due to the operating system and misc space required by the system.

Firmware is not compatible with your device !!! You have a different processor, do not install the firmware with this theme, you get a brick !!
