Hi Malaysk, just a question....will you release a 800x480 version too?
tnx a lot:)
I think today will be the firmware
I don't have that unit but I found a thread on xda and it says:
Android Car Radio/Stereo - Display: 7"-10" LCD Capacitive WVGA 1024x600 - Hardware Chipset: Rockchip RK3188 Quad-core 1.6GHz - RAM: 1/2 GB DDR3 -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Newsmy_CarPad look at on the right size of the page

Malaysk do you still think isn't that unit compatible with your rom?
thank you!
If processor A9 ( ARM Cortex A9 Rockchip RK3188 Quad-core 1.6GHz )- there is no. Firmware do not fit !!!

I am confused as well. It uses Rockchip RK3188 SoC with A9 processor same as CarJoying and Pumpkin units. What exactly is the difference for Newsmy Car Pad?

Only skimmed searching for SoC / CPU info and mentions of Malaysk rom. Still seems like similar hardware. Is there something I'm not noticing?

I'm actually considering to buy CarJoying JY-UQ124, just stumbled in this thread by evaluating options on installing custom rom.

Similar hardware is not the only condition to meet compatibility.

Anyway Newsmy CarPad is not an MTCB HU (it's even discussed in another forum section) and runs a completely different type of ROM.
Sure. Just the argument was about SoC / CPU which is actually the same.

I'm reading up on Android Head Units only last day or so and find whole MTCB term cryptic. It took some time to actually find explanation how it relates HuiFei-Type. It's mentioned in the header of MTCB Android Head Units General section, but not mentioned in the Hui Fei Type wiki page

@Malaysk

Feedback on latest ROM: I still cant use the xposedMTC module, crashed the OS, reboots. I did also checked this is the same for the factory ROM, not just yours. Joying JU1004 unit with RK3188, 1G RAM, 16G ROM and 1024x600.

I have never been able to make Easy Connect work. I see you downgraded from 1.4 in the last ROM to 1.3 in this latest one. Any particular reason?

There is an app I would really like to run on your rom. It would be better than Easy Connect, it would add Android Auto ability to our systems. I tried it, but it crashes. Would you look, it is open source, and Mike (dev) is a good guy.

The OP said it DOES NOT work with your interested headunit. The MCU is your biggest issue and this ROM is inteneded for MTCB based MCU'S (see the wiki page) The CPU, GPU and android are similar, yes, but what's included in this android based ROM is the apps that allow the OS to communicate with the MCU. If you did install this android would not know what to look for or do. You already know which headunits work with this ROM just get one of those. If not, quit posting irrelevant information. Just do a little research man before posting. Why do you want that specific headunit for anyways?

Relax! OP said "If processor A9 - there is no. Firmware do not fit !!" which can be interpreted as "If processor is not A9, it won't work, but will work if it is A9", so I wanted to hear clarification from himself.

I'm doing research whole day, that's how I ended up in this thread. As pointed out definition of MTCB is unintuitive and it's easy to assume that any unit with similar hardware mentioned in this topic falls into same category. OP's answer mentioning processor just added confusion and I being new to the topic wanted to clear it up for my benefit and for everyone else's who finds this thread by searching (same as me). In my book addressing confusing statements is not posting irrelevant information.

Also I tried to point out wiki and forum header could be improved. Wiki doesn't mention MTCBs at all, but forum header basically says MTCB cover head units from "HuiFei ... and more resellers and vendors ". Really vague and not clear where to draw the line. What does MTCB stand for?

I don't want Newsway unit, I was just doing RAM related search an stumbled unto @nicolapit post mentioning unit with 2 GB RAM and saw confusing OP's statement.

To avoid rebooting , you tell the program to switch in xposedMTC module ????
Look at the screenshots, all works fine.

Hi Malaysk!

Many Thanks for Your new ROM version!
Just a question .... If I also using Your earlier version of FUSE rom. What must I do? Just make a simply update, and after i will get it back everything..... - Or, I must make a backup from all of my programs, before I update current rom on my HU ?

Hi -=Gerner=-
If there is a previous firmware FUSE - Just do the update. All settings and programs will remain.
