it would be good to be written in first post, the description of this firmware, of you all who answered nobody wrote that after selecting potatoe clock and place where it should be at the top, its must have to select COLOR because by default it is black and than it cannot be seen so it should be set to WHITE or any other COLOR that could be seen at the top bar.


yes, as sad by Malaysk few posts before, go to main settings->gps->set to mixing, not switching

I was trying to fix the GPS audio issue, and found out that while with iGo, the system is mixing the audio as it should, but when I'm using Waze, the system, doesn't act as configured by pausing any audio source for the GPS guidance.
So.. iGo is good, Waze does not.
Is it possible that the system doesn't recognize Waze as a GPS source?

I need help with dimmer/brightness.
When my screen brightness is at maximum, and I turn of the lights (headlights), screen brightness came more bright.
Is possible to have this full potential brightness even when the lights are on?
I ask for it because I'm always driving with lights on, during the day also (DRL) and when is strong sun from outside than I would like to have maximum bightness.
The only way for now is to have lights turned off (than dimmer sets screen brightness better than maximum) but I do not accept that as option.

I can hear both sources mixed but i'd like set the volume of apps different by Waze (Radio, Tuner Radio, etc.) at higher level when the Waze sends audio instructions..
If you change the level from 1 to 10 down Switched/Mixed control you don't notice difference. Why?

Download Bluetooth phonebook from playstore and in settings chack the box for not syncing phonebook pictures and than try again if it syncs.

I installed it on the MCU and nothing.

Do I install it on the phone or the MCU?

I guess I'll just have to use OK GOOGLE but on phone not on car.

EDIT: seems to be downloading sim card contacts, does that make sense? It only downloads my name and phone #..Nope, tried to export to sdcard then import to device, nothing...

I can't find my MCU on the MCU thread, so assume i can just leave that as it is?

And should I/can I backup the factory rom first?

rom works fine just make sure the mcu dose not get updated or corupted..

Funny thing happened to me today on one of my MCU's... The volume no longer makes the tap noise, other buttons still do... And when that happened my steering wheel buttons had to be reprogrammed.

Hey guys,
I flashed the latest Rom Version together with the KGL 2.83 on my RK3188 Device with 1024*600

Now i cant play a dvd or cd, the app is there but without an Icon and crashes immediately after trying to start it.

Try to find your original MCU to flash, or at least flash only other compatible KGL(?) MCU.

Has anybody found an app to make these MCU CarPlay compatible? I have an iPad I would like to use CarPlay with. I already have Wifi Display sink player (miracast) which actually mirrors my phone and I can actually use my phone via the touchscreen of the MCU, very cool, and AirReceiver but I can only see, no touch on my iPad. CarPlay would be great to have if such thing exists for Android MCU's... Apple should've made the AirPlay protocol where you can use touchscreen...but then they wouldn't need CarPlay...

Instal it on your phone and change in settings of the app not to sinc contact pictures

No way unfortuntely. CarPlay is patented and licensed, and probably not likely licensed for creating an Android app.
If you mainly need CarPlay, maybe an Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatible HU might have been a better choice...

are you guys sure that this depends on the mcu?
For me it looks like the app/apk is missing.
Also when i switch through the modes and I reach the dvd app, the Device is reeboting approximately every second time

Is there an flashable APK?

You can find the Apk Files on the first page of this tread i.e. red apks for 800x480 dpi just put the Apk in system/app.
You are right it looks like your app is missing.
