IMHO the DVD app comes form the MCU.img and is specific for a HU model.
Try installing the original MCU.

Instal it on your phone and change in settings of the app not to sinc contact pictures

Ok, let me try installing it on the phone this time..... installing..... trying to sync contacts..... It worked!

From experience, the small transparent blue one works on vw, rx8 and maybe others foreign cars, for a Ford F-150 I bought a black one with orange/blue label.

To my problem:
I am one Stept near to the solution. I found a APK of a modded DVD app. I can install it and then use it and everything is fine. But when I reboot, the app is again uninstalled and there is this .com.microtek.dvd thing.
Is there a special Place where I have to put the apk. Or do I have to remove the files of the original dvd app. (Somebody knows where it is located?)

So KGL-V2.80 was the original MCU, but now you have reinstalled it and problems have not been solved...
Check in the Factory settings if you can find something useful.

Stock works, it just doesn't let you sync twice, how the hell do I reset this sh!t

Now after I made some adjustments to my contacts and I try to sync it doesn't sync at all. I tried EVERYTHING from removing my phone (unpair) and even clear data on Bluetooth, NOTHING lets me sync twice, that's the damn problem with this F*(@(#$*%^@ bluetooth module.

After spending $1.95 on Bluetooht Phonebook now I can't sync again... Jesus Christ... I even cleared data on Bluetooth Phonebook but the MCU just won't sync twice with the same device (to avoid dupes?) Theres gotta be a way to reset this....!

***NOW*** I do care about this. It's personal now! LOL!

I tried it, but only the mcu was updated
I tried it in the recovery with the update and clear function

I will try it tomorrow again, now its dark and cold outside

Ok, now I know whats wrong. Its Bluetooth Phonebook, when I pick National Format (###) ###-#### it doesnt sync. Teeheee! Im going crazy with this ****...

Gday guys

I just flashed the Feb13 image of this great ROM, two questions here:

- How can I configure the hardware buttons on the unit itself? The power button doesn't seem to work as a "back" button anymore
- The bass is really weak ever since I flashed over the inital stock software. Any ideas how I could increase it besides the equalizer?

Pretty sure something like this has been asked before, but couldn't find an answer so far- so excuse the noobishness in advance

Well, inspector m4f1050 again to try to solve another mystery!

These 2 MCU's are the same unit, same build (latest Feb. build) yet the Bluetooth, Radio, and Music icons are different (Music icon is not shown, as I don't have it as a shortcut) but take a look:

MCU #1 (on my F150 - both are the same VW radio)

MCU #2 (on my VW cc - both are the same VW radio)

What could be causing this? When upgrading to Feb. build it didn't replace some sort of file?
I'm VERY confused here....!

BLuetooth app opening on boot?

I don't have it in startup and it just started opening the bluetooth app on cold boot and when I come back to the car. Not sure why. I can't think of any changes I made that might make it open everytime. Been running Jan 10 version since Jan 10 and haven't updated yet. Not even sure where to start troubleshooting since it's not in the startup. Maybe I'll add it then reboot and then deselect and reboot again?

Any suggestions would be great.

If you power down with an app open it will reopen that app. Try powering down in launcher to see if it does it again.

i tried now some MCU´s but its not changing my problem
are you guys sure that this depends on the mcu?
For me it looks like the app/apk is missing.
Also when i switch through the modes and I reach the dvd app, the Device is reeboting approximately every second time

Is there an flashable APK?

The MCU does control the DVD, I would reflashed the ROM all your setting will be the same unless you installed different t apps.
