hi oma, i installed the omni rom 4.4.4 1.4.1 on qilive 97r with all fixes. A friend of mine do the same with no issues. Me instead got lots of issues:

-google services framework force close
-some apps force close
-performance worst than the stock 4.2.2
-rotation issues

i put the governor on performance, g+ and hangouts are not even installed, and followed other instructions with fix and everything. But the tablet is barely usable. Switched to art, better for a little but then same as dalvik. Ofc i do the reset and already clean the cache 3 times. Any idea? I thougt with kitkat things will get better :/

Do a clean install incl. eraseIDB.

- Oma -

will try and let you know

another thing i forgot, what about the red squares that appear during usage? It's something about cpu usage?

looks better for now. Can i uninstall:
-g+, hangout, contacts, file manager, reboot menu, dsp manager, viper4android? I don't use those software but i want to know if there are issues uninstalling. I mean, g+ and hangouts don't think so, but the others?

Hi,

After many weeks of silence, I just wanted to report that I have tried the Iron v1.4.1 KitKat build on my Prestigio PMP5785C.

After using a custom build prop that fixed dpi, rotation and mimicked a stock install (and the kernel from 1.012), I can confirm that haven't seen any strange behaviour.

I could not try HDMI as I don't have a cable.

The only issues I had were:

- A FC when trying to access brightness levels (I haven't tired to copy modules/libs for the sensor)
- Inability to install drivers for PTP (which was recognised by windows as MTP).
- I could not change quick tiles' "slide down" settings

Given the overbloated nature of the ROM and the lack of USB Mass Storage, I have reverted to the latest stock.

If I have time I'll try V88 omni 2.4 and report.

Confirm this. ART is high experimentell and you will not get any advantages from running it, anyway.

Got it thanks, anyway while i'm waiting an answer I tried 2.3 in this one ART is loaded but it not so smooth as I expected...

Edit:
Get back to 3.2 works flawlessy, just for purpose in this last firmware I see the optional optimised dalvik libs do you advice to flash it only if needed like slow down etcetera or not?

Hi everyone,

I'm a little bit confused about gen1 and gen2 bootloaders. I've recently installed Oma KK v2.4 on a Vido Mini One ZZ, and although everything seems to work fine (still rotation issues) I would like to try the v3.2. I know it requires gen2 loader to install, but I'm not sure if I can change to it or not. So, can I change to gen2 bootloader on the Vido Mini One ZZ or might I brick it if I do?

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Afaik versions with GEN2 bootloader will work ONLY on Chuwi V88 and it's clones, and is sure to brick your tab.

The strange kernel crahes with your PMU. Let the accu run out and try again.

Make sure you change the kernel in folder rockdev/Images before flash and install the model fix. Both files are linked under confirmed installations.

This build needs a selinux kernel. Do not use older kernel.
There is one common kernel for both V88/V88S genations and one kernel for V88HD.
