You have the data connection turned off. USB Tether/Hotspot 'will work' but as soon as you turned on your data it'll stop working/turned off by itself (error). I've tried it.

Nothing much the dev can do if Xiaomi didn't release the kernel source. We do have a source but it's not official. Dev's still basing on the unofficial one while Xiaomi's still didn't release the kernel source.

Hey, first of all thanks to @Carlos Arriaga and the rest for the great ROM. Installed the latest version and it seems all works great!

One of the issues I'm having is with the stock camera, as well as the Open Camera app, in video recording mode. Once I record the video, it appears with glitches when playing it. The glitches are just like you are cutting the video into smaller portions and combining them. I have tried various media players and it seems not to be from the player itself.

After installing Footej app I am convinced its a config issue, as Footej works good and without glitches. The issue is that Footej records a bit slow and with not great quality, so I am not very happy with the overall performance of the camera under Footej. Is it possible to include any patch related to this bug and make that the stock camera app and/or the Open Camera apps work without making these sort of glitches?

i have an issue with the brightness. it wont affect when i reduce it or make it high. its stays the same all the time.
anyone else has this issue?
and also my LED at the bottom is not making any sign of life xD - no colors at any time, neither notification nor when charging..

I've installed the rom on 2 devices. After boot both show an error: com.qualcom.embms stopped. Both devices have no sim card. I cannot see any disadvantage... Any idea how to prevent this error?
One of the devices doesn't turn off backlight and also drains battery. Both are setup the same... Is there a fix for that?

Flash the MIUI 9 Fastboot ROM via Mi Flash Tool. This fixed the problem for me, which was also happening on other Nougat ROMs.

Just to report back: made a complete wipe first, then installed the 03/04/2018 rom (no additional packages like gapps). Screen backlight stays on while screen is 'off' (is this a matter of installing the multirom firmware? Can't a fix be included in the rom?). And what's the LOScoin miner and wallet crap?! Such a bad aprils fool joke, it even still appears on a fresh install today (like 4 days after april 1st)! Hey I like a good laugh but I really don't understand this from the original lineage developers, they play with the users trust in the great OS! Security and humor are not a smart combination. To be clear: this is not a complaint at @carlosarriagacm!

Edit:
The backlight staying on - problem is being resolved by installing a recent firmware (like: https://basketbuild.com/devs/yshalsager/Xiaomi-Firmware/Stable/V9/Global/HM4AGlobal)
I can confirm (like @rakdumafo) the notification light is not active during charging (not sure about other notifications). When the phone is turned off the notification light *does* work during charging.

hi and thanks for your great work.
I installed the latest build yesterday: everything works fine except that I can't access the recovery mode (and thus TWRP): when I restart with recovery option, the MI logo black screen get stuck.
Can you help me? I want to install SuperSU.

PS: I didn't install addons. I installed Gapps (pico)

to access recovery mode on a Xiaomi Redmi 4A under LineAge OS, press VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN + POWER.
