lease help me. . Bricked my Chineese head unit with 9216Bj.

I followed exact instructions in this guide .When i was downloading an error came that 'PMT changed for the rom, it must be downloaded'



it said try'format all+download'

i tried that and i think it formatted the Bootloader aswell because now i checked in options 'Format all was selceted' It flashed after that after 100% flash error came.
It started flashing but after 100% this error came

So the problem i think is 'bootloader' is formatted
It should have been told in this guide that we have to do a format 1st and not select the option to format 'bootloader'


now i am trying original from xyauto but nothing is working
1st i tried only 'download' but it gave error and told me select' Format all+ download' i did not select preloader. It flashed 100% than this error came at end

Even cant memeory dump. getting this error





I have tried every method





Now its black screen but device is detected in PC but no info is writtern on left side in Spflashtool.

Please guide me on following .

1. As this is Chinese head unit hence they have reloaded junky Android OS with lot of unnecessary service which is easting memory and decreasing the speed. kindly help how to clean the unnecessary files and stop the unused service to speedup the system.

2. Is there any option to install the clean latest android OS on this head unit ? if yes then where i have to download the latest compatible OS and what is the step by stem guide to install the same.

3. How to uninstall default Launcher and install my own . how to uninstall the preloaded apps which is not easily removable from uninstaller.

4. how to root this .. which apps will work on this mcu.

I don't know what version of flash tool are you using but i think that the correct program shouldn't let do the formatting without the complete list of files. ? e.g. without preloader file, etc.

I used flash tool version 5.2112, probably heres the same as mine: https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-2112
Then find some firmware for 92xx head unit with preloader, scatter file, etc ( if you dont have your backup dump) and then do the formatting once, with all the files selected/added in the the list. Later, anytime you uploading another firmware just use download mode, then you dont need to add preloader if you don't have to.

Some time ago I found two types of preloaders for 8227L/92xx, one for booting android 6.x, the other one for booting android 8.x. but I deleted everything because I stopped playing with it.

So you need to find it yourself, try to look for full package on http://file.xygala.com/ or anywhere, that will contain both preloader and scatter and other system files.

Edit: for example here is 9218C_9217C公版UI1电脑包20200513.rar some full official xyauto package with old android 6? fake 8.1 that you can use just to bring the radio back to life. later you can search for something newer.

For most who doesn't know, most these "2gb, 4gb" versions are faked. I have a "2gb" version in my E46 now. You can go-to a certain setting and switch it yourself. You can also download a proper info app and see just exactly what is your running, and how much ram it really has. Mine says it's android 10. Info app used says Android 8. But does indeed have 1gb not 2 as per my purchase claimed. The seller cash apped my money back off eBay. And silently asked me to hold my tongue upon the matter to keep the 38.00 dollar device as well.

alright, ive not tried to root mine yet as most of all these features are now possible with stock rom and you can nearly uninstall everything that it doesn need already. now, with that said. i still wish to root. but first i wish to get my mph out of KMH although i have switched it, it remains showing speed as kph (even when its saying its in mph) anyone have any way to proper make the gps show correctly? i live in the USA so kph isnt really a thing here.

Would this work if my unit is yt9217b instead of yt9216b? I tried flash TWRP myself but almost got caught in bootloop

I was wondering the same. I have 9217dl. The update i was able to get from xyauto didnt take.

-installa il launcher UI1 di serie (non modificato).

Per ottenere ADB, consiglio questa app:
Wi-Fi ADB - Debug via etere

So... how to root your device?
how to flash twrp?

You can use this pre-rooted firmware, with included twrp.
-Build type is userdebug, means u can enable multi-window mode in dev settings
-Based on latest available firmware
-Root
-Busybox
-TWRP
-HIFI enabled
-UI1 Launcher
-FM Radio with RDS and save manager.
-TPMS (working with cheap chineese usb units)
-DVB-T & SDR (required RTL2832U)
Its backup of system i already have modified for myself.
It means, its branded to Ford Mustang all the way.
U can do this to get rid of that branding:
-choose another bootlogo.
-flash new bootanimation.
-install stock (not modified) UI1 launcher

To get ADB, i recommend this app:
WiFi ADB - Debug Over Air

Download:
YT9216B_00002_V004_20191012_HIFI_V3.zip

Factory settings password: 8888

Important note: Android 8.1 Go is just chineese marketing trick, in reality this head unit has android 6.0 (api lvl 23, not 27 as 8.1 should have).
