Quick question- I think we are gonna get "out of bounds exception" in quadrant so is quadrant pushing a new version of the app compatible with 2.0?

updating OP now ... taking me a couple mins to get the info switched over .. i was late picking my son up from school btw to get the link up to the testers so we can get this thing up and running

we're right there, i promise. nothing bad so far but i only had 4 testers avail. in the middle of the day with no notice and two have fallen off the planet and i think the other two are so blown away that they haven't regained consciousness yet ... i've heard from 1.5 of them .. rrrrrrrreally close

Do testers just try out certain apps and see if there are any issues? If so i'd gladly help out and run a bunch of random apps and such.

I've PM'd him so many times to help test because I use to do so for other ROM DEV's back when I had other phones but I guess he isn't accepting anymore? Anyways this is sweet I get to flash before work!

OK guys ... pressing update on OP

don't have a full changelog .. this ones gonna take me a good chunk of time tonight to put it all together. the updates are MASSIVE .. a lot of under the hood stuff but plenty all around. you'll feel the difference to say the least.

major highlights off the top of my head:

RoyalGinger v2.0:

- entire ROM completely rebuilt and compiled from scratch using latest 2.3.4 CM7 source code. i don't just take in all of the updates/code/commits willy nilly. i check them all out and cherry pick the ones i want .. test some out, decide whether or not to keep them in, etc. (more on that later)

- bundled with my first kernel build ckisgen-smartass-CM7-v1.0 . this is compiled using a base of zinx's latest CM7 stock kernel but i've added in the smartass governor (with a little inspiration from dumbfuqs source code, thanks df!) and then tweaked a couple of addt'l settings. i've bumped the default max clock to 1.1ghz. this kernel will overclock to 1.8ghz. i've got LOTS of plans for this in the future. i'm going to be working hard on it. i went with something like this for maximum compatibility with this latest 2.3.4 and all the changes that it's brought about. I def gotta give a big THANKS to FauxMoney for the colorful late night conversations and inspiration to make my own kernel...thanks man.

- FULLY working google Talk with video and audio working BOTH ways (ok maybe not 100% .. switching to rear camera FC's but we're working on that..still really solid)

- moved most of the 'extra' CM apps and a couple of others to user storage so that they can be easily removed using the traditional uninstall method via the manage applications menu (settings/applications). i call this one the "E-Z AOSP-ify" update. the apps are:

* terminal
* xda
* DSP manager (this is the new one with the EQ presets .. very nice)
* FM
* ROM Manager
* Spare Parts
* stk
* Swype
* Torch
* YouTube

- TONS and TONS of other stuff .. optimizations everywhere .. GPS, radio, data, ETC!!!!!
