make sure you UNCHECK set on boot in cm7 performance settings ... and also - if you're installing setCPU for the first time (since a new kernel and/or ROM flash .. or EVER for that matter) - then reboot your device after installing and after you've booted up and gotten to your lockscreen - WAIT 5 minutes (don't touch anything!!) for it to fully boot ... NOW go into setCPU and press the menu button, the autodetect settings and let it do it's thing. now, you can click 'set on boot' in SETCPU and you'll be good to go for everyday use ... (these are NOT instructions for getting high synthetic benchmark scores...just how to get your device running properly with the awesome kernel that's included with this ROM)

i also recommend a reflash of the kernel for....well really everyone for now. ESPECIALLY if you've got kernel related issues (wifi, GPS, screen lag, reboots, freezes, etc) ... this is very temporary and we should have this fixed on the next release, v1.3 .. but for now, there's a glitch in the initial flash/boot script that is causing some people's kernels to underperform. REFLASHING THE SAME KERNEL FIXES THIS. more instructions coming in a new post i'm going to make below...thanks guys

:D

WOW! Thx for giving such a great tips. you're the best!

Weird...

I just flash 2.0.6 and its the same, I don't use setcpu and my setting are default min/max using smartass, uncheck the reset on boot, ran the quadrant and got 1800.
hmm, that's weird...
I'm running RoyalGinger 1.2 with the Faux kernal, and have setcpu set to: Max:1555/Min:537 and set to interactive gov, and my linpack scores are 56 MFLOPS and my quadrant scores are 2588; and that's with music playing in the BG. :D

This rom is very efficient, responsive and smooth with faux123's 2.0.6 SV kernel. I can only imagine what the improvements in version 1.3 will produce.

working on it right now ... me and royal are updating to baseline RC2 that came out last night ... just sleeker, better, and faster ... as usual :D

putting latest kernel in, working on some bug fixes, etc.

hopefully can go into a fast testing phase shortly..

commence holding breath to have your collective worlds rocked (again) ...

EDIT: added in spare parts by request

My interest is peaked. I appreciate all the work you and RoyalKnight have put in this rom. The sleeker the better!!!

No disrespect but I just don't see how you got these scores...I've followed the instructions completely and have never had issues flashing kernels period!!! But with performance set and set to 1.84 I still don't get scores anywhere near that high...I've said it before, quadrant scores aren't that important as long as its smooth and it has always been..
Just looking for some help there

Thanks

I lose signal randomly throughout the day. Anyone else have that problem?

have you guys followed my kernel reflashing fix from a few posts back and followed all steps exactly?

this is the first I've heard of this ... outside of it potentially being a kernel needing reflashing (again, fix already posted) or like the guy below you mentioned, a Tmobile issue..

I am currently running RoyalGinger 1.2 with faux's latest 2.06 kernal but im still experiencing wifi problems. When I turn on wifi, it causes my phone to crash and go to the X boot animation, and when the phone starts up again, it crashes when the wifi turns on. So it gets stuck in this infinite loop until i factory reset.

Hey I was just wondering, how come my wifi signal and phone signal sometimes turns from green to light grey. I'm not losing signal because I can see the difference between low bars and full bars I'm color.

try this...

Rebooting my phone didnt solve the problem. It still crashes
When you flashed the rom, did you make sure to do a FULL wipe, including a format of the SD? If not, try it and report back. also, if that doesn't work, follow the instructions for ver. 1.1 (full wipe/format SD then flash rom > first boot, load everything without activating wifi > boot into recovery and load faux kernal from zip in SD > flash kernal > reboot phone) ONE of those should work.
