Just tested the latest build of 2.2. It's running faster than ever! If you folks thought 2.1 was good, wait until you try 2.2! I'm getting about 6-800 more points in quad thanks to the brand new kernel. 2.2 is like 2.1 but on steroids! I can't wait to run 2.2 final as my daily driver! I doubt it'll get any better than this....
Well i guess im gonna try this when its finally released.

Corporate Global Address List

I hope this hasn't been asked before. I did some searching in the thread and couldn't find anything. I have my company's email configured via ActiveSync with the standard email app. In the original ROM for the MT4G it let me search the corporate global address list and add people to my contacts from it. I don't see that function in the standard contact list on RoyalGinger. Is there any way to do this from the phone? Maybe it's something that's only available in Sense.

Love this ROM!!!

Thanks,

Dave

I'm on 2.1 Royal Ginger. I just opened my outlook account in email, typed in a coworker that is not in my add book and it instantly pulled it from the company server.
That is better than my thunderbolt from work with sense as I have to ask it to do that...
Hope that helps.

I've been having intermittent problems downloading mms pics as well, and I'm using Go SMS as recommend.

Btw, I've also noticed that when sending or receiving MMS while connected via wifi, it seems the phone switches to network data (non wifi) in order to complete this task. Maybe this is relevant to what the problem with MMS has been...?

In addition to the screenshot question, what all does RG have that CM7 doesnt and vice versa? I'm brand spankin' new to the root/rom world and planned on first doing CM7 but saw that RG had netflix and didnt need to install gapps separately. Thanks for any and all help!:)

There's not much of a difference if you ask me. RG has its own tweaks but I've ran both RG and CM and they're both just as fast. Even if this ROM is faster I don't think you'll even notice it since this phone opens apps so quickly as it is. But I would still recommend this over CM just because RG is usually more bug free since CK tests the hell out of it before he releases which is good, thus this is a tad bit more beginner friendly. And plus since you don't need to flash gapps and Netflix is bundled in as you mentioned.

Anyways, flash and you'll enjoy it!

mmm...2.2 is almost ready to come out of the oven boys and girls...

I woke up this morning and it had changed the oil in my car, taken my dog for a walk, and even reorganized my Jane's Addiction vinyl collection in the order of how high Perry Farrell was when he recorded the vocal tracks.

Damn, I love this ROM..

Are you gonna wait for RC1 to base it on or just use the current nightlies?

Whoa o_O..... that sounds like one Super Smart Rom. I might have to leave Sense 3.0 to try this Genius Rom out. :D

I"ve heard this is a battery saver rom even on medium to high usage. I've flashed 2.1 and was def impressed with everything, but it was 1 of the first roms I ever flashed for mt4g before trying others to base opinion on. Will definetly check out 2.2 when it's released, appreciate all the hard work you devs/rom testers do for us all :D
