Anyone else experiencing real crappy battery life after flashing the latest radio? I can't seem to find any reason for the drain other then this recent update...

Or, is this a case of "ya shouldn'ta dun that.." ?

Yeah my battery life has taken a serious nose dive with the latest radio..I'm going back to .09

don't you have some ROMs that you should be pretending to be 'cooking'?

(aka - taking the cutting & pasting work of other former XDA users who have been banned over and over again from this site and then sticking your own name on it and acting like it was all you?)

and yes, everyone .. don't hold your breath for 2.2 because RoyalGinger v3.0 is on it's way thru testing now.

I apologize for the several week delay and my recent absence. I ran into a couple unexpected last minute issues with the former 2.2 later test builds and just wasn't able to make the time to handle it before now. I'm a single dad who is also self employed so sometimes "life" happens. I'm sure the majority of you sane XDA users at large out there over the age of 18 1/2 know what I'm talking about.

I want to give a big thank you to @2leaponover1 for donating his Glacier to me for my development use. He is a big reason I was able to get everything back up and going so quickly once some things settled back down for me on my end. If you guys see him around, make sure you hit his Thanks button!

You guys won't be disappointed with this one - I promise. I'm sure you'll think it was worth the wait. The best is about to get better. Again. I threw in some extra treats since most of you guys have been ultra patient, as always. Thanks again for all the support you guys.

Myself or someone actually on the team will keep you in the loop on the status of testing and the impending release .. especially if we run into any unexpected delays.

I'm getting more then 9hr of battery life on my hardware/phone for me its more like 15/16 hrs & that's with heavy usage as I rely on my device al1 day long from navigation to emails. I'm straight ROCKING RG 2.1 Thanks TeamRoyal!

So, I'm getting a problem with royal 2.1. When I charge my phone at night and go to sleep, sometimes it will not wake up. The buttons light up, and the screen tries to light up, but nothing is displayed and the screen is unresponsive. I need to battery pull to restart the phone. I'm new to logs, but I would liked to post one if it helps. How do I record the log at the moment the issue occurs? Using alogcat.

Btw, team royal rocks, and so does this rom. Keep doing what you're doing guys, thanks.

Had the same issue with both phones in our home. The issue seemed to go away once i flashed the 1.5 kernel. You can find a link to it in multiple places in this thread im sure..

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I'm in my phone right now and dolphin doesn't seen to want to let me search. Keeps closing the keyboard and search menu. Could you possibly link me to the post? If not, no worries I will try when I get home

I had a similar issue but for me it was related to the settings/applications/development/STAY AWAKE option being on once turned off it solved that issue.

Hope that helps outs.

whaaaaaat 3.0?..... you probly didnt read ck i ruined my phone by somehow installing gscript lite and busybox installer i dunno if that had virii but now i have no wifi root explorer isnt working icons have changed all from only installing those 2 apps so im patiently awaiting now i guess 3.0 royal ginger cause i dont wanna flash 2.1 just to flash 3.0 is a short time ... its a pain in teh ass to reinstall all my apps like 5 pages ofem lol thanks dude for the update you rock and take your time

I had a similar issue. I turned the screen on/off animations off and since then no problems. Even fixed it before flashing kernel 1.5.

I had that same problem too but I was able to fix it without turning crt animations off. My profile for set cpu when screen is off was both max min at 245mhz and I just raised the max to 765mhz. Hope this helps.
