I'm not knowledgeable enough about programing to know, but a thought crossed my mind.. I did the gfree to my phone. I've had none of the screen freezing. Could that be related?
hmm I don't think so. I did my phone and my wife's the visionary route ... mine has never froze once.but hers has numerous times. our phones are the Chinese / Sh screens so the hardware is the same (I hope). for now she is running cm7 rc1 with no issues...I dunno if it is due to a few mytouches running 2.3.3 or not with modified kernels + screen animations or if overclocking is the issue...hmm ill prolly flash hers to 1.4 and if it freezes ill post up a logcat

So I posted this in the general Q&A section and got nothing...when I flash this, I go through EVERY step, including wiping the SD card...and every time I flash it, I get the same wall paper I was using on the previous rom...can anyone venture to guess why this is?

Even when I flash to a CM rom, it should be a "live" wallpaper, it never is! it's always what the last wallpaper I was using.

are you wiping data, cache, dalvik cache, system, boot, sdcard. Also, if you login to google on first boot it resotres apps and background because it has a backup on its servers saved with your settings. The way around this is to skip that part and then go and set it up through accounts&sync in settings.

I am wiping everything, including SD card...going around it doesn't work. It's still the same.

And I don't log in to google on first boot, I do as the instructions say and wait till 5 minutes after the 2nd boot.

What should the wallpaper be for Ginger 1.4?

Even if it's not first boot if you are logging into google as soon as you get the option and not selecting skip step, it will do this. I am not sure as I have not flashed it but I believe the live wallpaper nexus is the wallpaper as default.

I have skipped the part of signing in and gone into "account/sync"....before I get there and set up my google account, it's still the same wallpaper from last time!

hmm, that's strange. DO you have the back up my settings option selected when you are setting up your accounts and google apps, that might be the culprit as well.

Is there any way to add previous apps in the notification drop-down, like the do in the sense roms?

I love this rom, and that is one thing I wish it had.

BTW- keep up the awesome work

Omfg this is ridiculously fast. One question though.

Is there a way to change icons in the dock on the stock launcher?

Oh and the labels on the homescreen apps, can they be removed?

Do you mean like remove them and place different ones? You can do that on the stock launcher by pressing and holding on an icon. Then select choose application. If this isn't what you meant, sorry.
