Just spent the day on UD. Not impressed. Had to use faux's kernel just to make it run well. I like how branded it is, things in the framework like the logo on the lockscreen is cool, maybe the devs of RG could do some similar stuff. Give the ROM a RG touch on the GUI side. Nothing out of control, just maybe a logo or two in the right place, etc. Either way, you guys are just starting (what has it been, a couple weeks now?), I can only imagine what is to come.

Just edited the OP it will sit at the White MyTouch4G screen for like 4 min. Don't worry its not frozen it will boot. It's doing things in the background.

Is this suppose to happen on every boot? Because it does on my phone. Running R.G. 1.4 though I do have a custom splash screen. Also, not sure if it makes a difference, but I have the inferior mt4g (screen type 1, lesser cpu) and have no running issues, even using setcpu at 1555max 245min. Though I have noticed one small issue: when you rotate the phone 90° on the home screen (using live wallpaper) the wallpaper only takes up half the screen. It only does this with my market installed lwp's though. Also, if team Royal needs any testers, I would be glad to oblige, I love the work you guys have put out. Every rom I have tested out thus far is kick a**...

I want to try out this rom but am worried about the freezing issue mentioned a lot in this thread. But can anyone point out a ballpark on what percentage of users have this problem vs the ones that dont? Maybe if its a small number, i might go for it

I was wondering if team royal had a web site, Facebook, twitter, or anything like that. Also, I agree with the post a little back that stamping team royal in a few small places would be a cool touch.

Btw, this rom really is blazing fast, and battery life is great, thanks for that.

Loving the ROM super smooth and fast. One problem tho, ive been looking for this bjy cant find it. I dont like my home screen to go from portrait to landscape and what not but cant find the option to disable it... Its prob just me being tired but I cant seem to find it.

Has anyone else noticed that when rotating to landscape on the stock launcher, the little dots on the left side flatten?

I unchecked that earlier, but still same thing nothing changes. Last one had an option to keep in in landscape, portrait or auto...this one seems not to...

no one has more direct info on this than me , and anecdotally (aka no way to know how many people aren't reporting it but I'd guess a good part are) my guess is less than 10%..maybe even less

just nandroid and give it a flash and see..you can always nandroid back ..nothing lost.

pretty sure you won't regret it...this ROM is in a league of its own

I had issues with the freezing as well. But you might as well try it out since all users don't have the issue. When it froze I just took the battery out and put it back in and it was phone. It's not like it is going to boot up frozen. You will have no issues restoring your backup if the ROM is not for you.

We've been trying to reproduce the freeze in testing. We just cant do it. Faux123 and I had a conversation about this yesterday. He asked me if I knew anyone that could break a rom with ease. I laughed at him.

The point is, its not likely to happen to anyone. If it does, reflash and try again. If you can make it freeze, PLEASE get us a good logcat.

yeah, this new stock launcher doesn't 'follow' the no auto rotation rule when you uncheck it in settings .. for some reason.

we'll probably just disable the rotation (for the homescreen) in the next version. that is, if we can't get a setting for it thrown together.

in the mean time - most of the aftermarket launchers have this setting built in .. i know ADW EX does..that's what I use. pretty positive launcher pro does .. not sure about zeam but i think so.

no, my average boot time start to finish is between 2 min and 2 min 15 sec

a little longer if you're booting up right after clearing dalvik (or fresh install obviously)

custom splash must be adding to the boot time

also, in response to:

"Is there a way to get 7 home screens on this rom?"

you can with one of the aftermarket/3rd party launchers .. ADW EX allows you to have 7 (i think even more if you want) .. several of the others do as well .. they should say in their descriptions on the market whether they do or not ..

Edit: fixed link

Been running RG 1.4 for the last 24 hours+ and no freezes. Switched to faux's 2.1.4 lv this morning and no freezes this morning (a few hours). I do us adwex launcher. I appreciate all team royal's persistence in trying to isolate the cause of the intractable freeze issue.

I also want to let everyone know about a thread on android theme section. You can create your own theme. Check it out.
