[ROM] RoyalGinger 3.0 - ckisgen - 8/3/11 - 2.3.4, Netflix, gTalk Video over 3G/4G

Ok i am hoping if i state this again maybe somebody can answer me this time.. My phone always Force Closes Launcher2 when i go into a app come out a couple times it force Closes Launcher then takes a couple seconds to come back its very annoying.. And just today my phone if in landscape mode gets locked it wont get out of landscape after unlocking the phone i have to restart it.. Somebody please respond to this concern =]

I am still pretty frustrated by my inability to replicate these launcher2 force closes and most of these orientation based issues. OTHER THAN it not being a clean flash for one reason of another (if you didn't follow the OP instructions precisely or sometimes even when you do it just doesn't quite 'take', or if you restored from a nandroid as I explained in my post above this one, etc), I've not been able to find a real reason why most peoples launcher2 (including mine) seems to function normally. Notwithstanding the inability to turn off auto rotate on the homescreen. And yes, occasionally certain apps seem to be able to 'override' your screen preference and rotate into landscape even if you have that turned off (likely an issue across the board with that app, not with this ROM).

Because of the handful of random launcher bugs that sprung up with this latest launcher2 that we put into v1.4 and v1.4.1 - I think I'm going to bake up a current version with the older stock launcher2 in there for those of you that are having FCs and other issues. I don't think I started hearing about this until after v1.4 (when we put the new launcher2 in) ...

I'll try and put something together and get it into testing asap..tonight if possible and will let you guys know what I come up with.

I'm willing to test anything out for you guys, its the least I can do for this great rom. I've never had problems with any launcher other than the force close of lpp at startup which seems normal to most everyone. Hope I can help in some way, pm or reply here if you'd like the extra tester.

I have random FC's with LPP too... It think it's a GB compatibility issues... I simply FC and restart then its fine... Annoying but bearable...

I had the same issues on froyo. Weirdly, my captivate running.g the paragon rom has no issues with it, but lpp doesn't do it randomly, just on startup.

hey buddy, its not a rom issue just go to.

Messages > settings >notifcation settings > vibrate > always

Yea, I did that first thing when I flashed CM7 and it doesn't vibrate for texts. I tried switching with the other options and then switching back, still don't work.

I think that's tied down to Sense. So I would assume it wont work for aosp roms such as this one.

I dont know i hadnt had it with 1.3 i guess it is the new launcher but i did do everything the op said.. So maybe it is just the new launcher and idk its kinda annoying waiting for the launcher to reload.. It's got me thinking of going back to CM7 but this is so much faster than CM7 thats why i want to stay and hope it will get fixed asap =]

for y'all that keep asking about Sense-type stuff for this ROM... check out HeLauncher in the Market. it won't let you have the widgets or Sense proprietary stuff but will let you have the look of Sense, Stock Froyo or GB, Blur and a few others

and it is free and has a few nice features such as Drop to Uninstall, Scrollable Widgets,
Re-sizable Widgets

First you have to have it enabled for your account with T-Mobile. Second download the app. Third go through the setup process in the app, iirc it should be done on data and NOT wifi, though it may not make a differenct. The big block most people face is not knowing that it needs to be enabled with T-Mobile before it will run.

@team I hadn't tried to use it before being on cm7, couldn't get it to work there, tried again here, still nothing, then someone mentioned at the T-Mobile forums to enable it at their site first. Problem. I thought maybe it was a sense tied app or else perhaps custom roms cut you off somehow from tmo access apps. Makes a little sense.
