Loving this ROM. In coming from CM7 and I do have to say I'm highly impressed. This ROM is fast and the battery life is immaculate. Love the 10 themes you can choose from and all the other CM settings to play with. Awesome job Royalknight and his Devs.

What is the command to remove the stock launcher? The one in the op doesn't work.

Also thought I'd add, I tried out the red remix theme today, everything else was the same as my normal. My battery died crazy fast. I didn't think it could be the theme so I CWR wiped everything and re-loaded with that theme again, still killing battery, changed back to honeybread and battery. Battery back to normal... weird, a.gone know what causes that? Just a theme killing battery?
Use root explorer to manually remove the stock launcher. But if you don't want to pay for it you can also use ES File explorer, does the same job as root explorer. I believe its in system>apps

I have root explorer and I know it's launcher2.apk but wasn't sure if deleting it would:
a) get rid of it 100% IE Car Dock is actually 2 apks or
b) is it going to cause problems straight deleting the .apk and that is the reason for said script, to delete the information AND fix the issues involved with not having the stock launcher.

that's my thinking anyhow, have you done this? and ill affects?

I always do it when I run CM7. And I have no ill effects in case you're worried. I just reboot every time I do it for safe measures.

Working on RoyalGinger 1.5 Trying to include some not all of the requests that were put forward. A lot of requests were from people who love Vanilla Android but they want the look and feel of Sense well I am sorry to say that Sense Widgets like, Calendar, clock, weather wont work in vanilla Android. But I was able to dig up a Sense Clock that does work and I am including it. I also found a new Theme for the Theme chooser that is a Sense Theme so you will have the look and feel just not all the widgets. sorry. :-( RG1.5 is getting completely rebuilt from the latest nightly so hopefully a lot of the issues will be fixed. I got the remove launcher working. it isnt working in this last build cause of a miss coding sorry my fault. hopefully we will have 1.5 out to you guys sometime this week.

Sorry its taking longer the normal, between my injury and trying to get all the requests in the build its taking a little bit longer. But 1.4.1 is freaking solid and should keep you guys happy till 1.5 is out. Thanks again for your support.

Hey just going to put this out there. I located a Mod that will allow you to watch Hulu via the browser either Dolphin or Stock. Downside is it might but it might mess with mobile flash, (of course we will test the crap out of it.) is this something you guys would want. You would be one of the few phones that offer it.

so hopefully you guys get that all running fine and dandy cuz I don't flash nightlies anymore :)
yep, flash 10.2 is working on the new rebased gingers. been running an alpha test build for a day or two and its super nice.

I just finished tweaking the launcher2..auto rotation should be fixed now. I think I might have found what was causing some FCs also. gonna check it all out later tonight on the latest test build.

I've also got another super secret new project I've been working on for the last week that I think many of you will be pretty psyched about :D more details on that once I'm a little further with it

There is a line that says device name. Change that

Hmmmm.... there's a line that says ro.product.device and another that says ro.product.name. So I changed both to "Nexus S" and still not working. Let me try "Nexus_S" now.

Nope....that (Nexus_S) didn't work either. Did anyone else get the front facing cam to work? Thanks.

I haven't verified this myself but it was my understanding that the product.name was supposed to change to Samsung for the ffc fix. PM me if that doesn't work and I'll look into it further for you.

I'm almost certain you need to leave everything else as HTC or Glacier. If you change the wrong one of those it's easily going to break something else. There are other files and code tied to those .ro's

if you wanna do it by the book - i'm pretty sure there's a com.launcher file you're going to want to remove as well if you're gonna do this manually ..

should be in data/data folder

i think it's called com.com.google.launcher or something similar

i'd check for sure but my this current build i'm on does not have the stock launcher on it

the 'safest' thing to do is just to freeze the launcher2.apk via titanium ... but in actuality, as long as you have your important apps/data backed up, it's not very difficult to reflash a ROM if worst case happened and you screwed something up or wanted the launcher back.
