IMHO...

Just flashed this and it is stunningly responsive and fast. (Although Quadrant gave it only a 1659 with fresh install @1834 smartass. For whatever that is worth. ) I had some initial issues with GPS syncing after following the OP directions to the letter. Was able to solve with a combination of GPS Status A-GPS clear, deselecting and reselecting GPS/Wifi location in Settings and a reboot. Not nearly as nice of battery life as I was experiencing on MIUI with 2.1.5 lv kernel but runs like hot butter.

There is an entire thread about this. In the same section as this. Just look. Or use the search button

not sure u got what he was trying to say...

don't think anyone can charge the phone with the charger unplugged... unless you got some crazy battery charging air.

dude - you can't judge or measure battery performance during the first 12-72 hours after flashing a new ROM .. it's often is night and day from what your true performance will be once the ROM settles in on your device ... try and make sure you run the battery all the way down to 1% and charge it all the way for the next night or two and if you're still having issues - recondition your battery / wipe stats ... i'll post the steps in the OP later

this ROM should have better battery performance than the previous versions of royalginger and in my experience - this ROM has given me insane battery life .. better than any other ROM i've flashed

how do i remove Dragon Diction?

I tried deleting it from the system partition using Root Explorer, but then i got massive force closes, and had to do a battery pull followed by an immediate wipe and re-flash

Im not entirely sure, but you probably have to remove the libs as well. And im not even sure of exactly which ones they are.

try this (you'll need adb setup, there's a post in the forum that walks you thru it if you're not familiar) ..

boot into recovery and connect with usb and type the following into your command prompt on your computer:

adb shell

mount /system

exit

adb pull /system/lib/libvsuite_sharedlib.so

adb pull /system/lib/libvsuite.so

adb pull /system/app/vsuite.apk

adb pull /system/app/VSuiteApp.apk

ok, now wipe cache, dalvik cache, then fix permissions

reboot

<< btw - the terminal/command prompt should say x.xx amount of bytes transferred in 1.23 seconds, or something similar after each time you execute the adb pull /system/blah/blah/ command or you didn't do something right>>

this should take care of it ..

There is a new commit being added to CM tonight to fix the needing to do a reboot to enable wifi. Might be of use for you guys as well.

Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App

i'll check it out ..

but i only give those instructions in the OP because that seems to be the safest/cleanest way to 'break your device in' after flashing ANY new ROM in my experience .. which includes hundreds of ROM flashes ..

what i'm saying is i don't believe that this ROM has an actual 'problem' with wifi turning on at all and most of you could probably get away with turning wifi on before rebooting and it would work fine .. but i've found it's better to let the device settle for a few mins and then reboot and then settle once more ... and i have way less problems overall with every ROM i flash this way VS when i don't do it that way ... i've had wifi not work on me on just about every flavor of ROM one time or another if i didn't slow down and do the settle/reboot/settle deal (along with other weird quirks and oddities)

happy flashing!

(i tried fauxs and dumbfuqs with nexus S 2.1 and appeared dumbfuq's was a little more stable and got better performance and possibly even battery life a this point...but i LOVE fauxs stock/sense kernels and as soon as he gets his butt over here to CM7 world and starts working on his cm7 kernel again, i KNOW it's gonna smoke every other kernel out there)
it must be me, but where can i find dumbfuqs kernal? i tried searching for it butttttt no luck. is it the one he renamed to gingerbread?

oh by the way, this rom totally rocks
