a lot of the CM7 stuff is stripped. none of the wall papers, different boot animation, none of the spare parts
its pretty fast.
Thanks, that helps.Don't mean to sound stupid but what's the difference between this ROM and Cyanogen7 exactly?
the main difference i notice between the two is the performance in the browserFWIW, I am finding that faux 123's v2.0 sv kernel is smoother than dumfuq's kernel, at least concerning lagginess on ADW EX launcher. Ran each for an hour or so and lag with the latter, but not the former.
Thanks to all who are making this phone move forward....!!!!

If its working for you good. Maybe I will try it on my phone before I include it in the next build. If you look at other build.props they will have different numbers. Around the same but some different values. the thing to do is find what works best, more of a trial and error. lol. thanks for brining this to my attention, like I said I will try it out and see what those different values do.I tweaked the build properties values to match what they've talked about on the CM7 RC1 thread (image below) and as soon as I did everything got so quick. All the screen transitions, loading of apps, everything. They said it was for GPS and data, but my whole phone became more responsive. I'm on RoyalGinger 1.1 running Faux123's v2.0 kernel.
If this is something I shouldn't have done, or is bad, please let me know, but so far it seems great.

Thanks Faux I was actually just looking at that. about to send you that invite.the ONLY change I recommend for the build.prop from the CM7 baseline is:
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=10
the default CM7 baseline has it set to 8 which is incorrect for Tmobile HSPA network...
I don't know code nor will claim to, but on the CM7 RC1 thread they had changed the hsdpa, hsupa and the gps to improve them both. I believe you 100%, just wondering if you had any comments on the gps, or if there's a thread or source that explains these. Thanks!the ONLY change I recommend for the build.prop from the CM7 baseline is:

nope, what kernel are you running?I have a question are any of you having a problem in where your WIFI is on but not receiving a good bulk of your messages? Because I am. Turn off.. it works fine... Turn on it doesn't work the right way... Any of you have these experiences ?
yes text messages I didnt flash any of the kernels just going stock...nope, what kernel are you running?
by messages do you mean texts from the messaging app or emails from the gmail app or ?
i would flash either dumbfuq's or faux's kernel. pretty sure that will fix it. otherwise, if you REALLY wanna stay on the bundled kernel (why??) - try fixing permissions and/or wiping both caches then fixing permissions and see if that works ..yes text messages I didnt flash any of the kernels just going stock...
motoyola - see my post right above this one about faux's kernel. flash his new v2.0 kernel. i don't think you'll regret it.it works fine for me except for the Torch, im using [KERNEL] dumfuq smartass cmkernel [2/3/11] so i dont know if that affected it or not. For a while there it was working but after wards it stopped. now it doesn't even function any more. Should i try flashing a diferent kernel?
tried it and flash still doesnt work.motoyola - see my post right above this one about faux's kernel. flash his new v2.0 kernel. i don't think you'll regret it.
try LV first and if you have any issues (bootloop, freeze ups, etc) then flash the SVhmm i will flash with that kernel then
low or stock voltage??
