I'm struggling to get this running. The install goes fine, but when the phone has booted up I keep getting "com.android.settings" force close, then a black screen with the top task bar showing (batt time etc). Only the volume and power buttons appear to work.

I've tried wiping from boot and recovery. Neither do the trick. I can boot the phone without the sim card in, which then runs me through setting the phone up. Inserting the sim results in the same error.

Tried flashing twice now.

Please help :(

This RUU also works for debranded device?
I have a debranded fastweb italian Legend... Italian language is supported?

Thank you for your support and excuse me for my bad English.

EDIT: Yes, it works also in unbranded device, but first of all you need to downgrade to 1.31 version with goldcard and RUU 1.31, then install Froyo RUU.

Exact same problem for me with AllWin's ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9819150&postcount=53

I'm running the Vodafone debranded ROM of Froyo and it's fine however...

I have the same problem to.
I have an SFR (French Vodafon) unbranded + gold-card Legend. The over air update from 2.1 to 2.1-Update-1 run well. So I tried the "go to Froyo" update, the download and the archive checkup, and reboot goes well.
After the reboot, the auto-flash procedure start then stops at about 30% with an alert screen.

Any one, any idea about a way to fix this ? Please.

Blank screen with red triangle I suppose... I had the same problem few days ago.

OTA Update to Froyo doesn't work if you have an unbranded Legend, you need to downgrade to version 1.31 and the run the RUU Froyo update.

Yes !! Good diagnostic !!

Your solution certainly work well, but it make it obligatory to re-configure all my mail, facebook and twiter accounts, I suppose.

Is their an other solution, that take in charge the migration of all the accounts from Eclair to Froyo ?

The only way to migrate from Eclair to Froyo is flashing the rom, so you loose your settings and data.
You can try to make a backup with Sprite Backup or MyBackup Pro (you can find this product in the market and works fine also in unrooted device) and then restore in your legend after upgrading.

Dear Blayo;
I have some WWE roms that support persian and have some that they did not support, but most of them do not support support persian..
I tried to cook my roms for about 6 months, and I have some good progess, but the only thing that I can not fix is, that I could not add persian(Or arabic) language support to roms, and this is because of the nature of the languages, I do not need the roms to show any menu or anything in persian, but I want them to support the characters and show them good.
The persian need characters to be connected and written from right to left, but in any rom that you COPY just FONTS, the rom just shows the characters in not proper format.
After many researches I found that language related files are, libskia, libskiagl and webcore in libs folder, so I tried to use these libs files and copy them from A rom that support these well to my rom, but after doing this, the rom does not run properly and stoped at the HTC logo at the starting of the cellphone in HTC SPLASH SCREEN... :(
I do not know what should I do..
If any one knows anything about this, please help me..

I get your point, but I have never seen stock WWE RUU supporting Arabic language.

Have you tried some Asia WWE RUUs for example 1.31.707.3 or 2.05.707.1 and upgrade it via OTA to 3.15.707.3?
