Running excellent on my phone since this AM I do get 4g as well as 3g data after 2x wipes of system and data. Didn't like the low Max volume and liked this up and is a confirmed working flashable volume increase found here. I an not the creator of this.

No it should work on the some screen while screen is on. That's how it worked in my nexus 5.

it should be working across any kitkat based rom, it's functionality might be broken, are you using ART or dalvik because that might be part of the reason......i'm currently waiting on the rom to download so i can flash it myself and if i encounter the same problem i'll make sure to post it too......if you can, try getting a logcat since it might be crashing in the background or not pulling the right repos or something
edit: ok so after installing the rom and testing it myself, it does not pull locations for stores when you type in just the name in the dialier, ie if you type in pizza hut, it should ideally locate the closest pizza hut and show cards based on that which it isn't doing

using ART or Dalvik? everyone who is on dalvik isnt complaining about that but people who are on ART seem to have that issue
