I install this rom in S9+ using TWRP, the Aroma installer appears, installs it, reboots and the phone does not start.

Thanks for the hard work.

I need to have encryption enabled on a s9+ (256GB SD Card with all my files synced from Nextcloud, can't risk to have it unencrypted in case I lose my phone).
Do you have a status for this feature ? Could not find a final answer in the thread (might have missed it)

It is the convention on XDA that install instructions / release notes are in the second / third post of the thread. Always check them out before installing any ROM.

I appreciate the developers of Arrow OS but unfortunately the camera app is poor. Today I read that LineageOS will use a better camera app for the next generation Android 13. Hopefully ArrowOS will follow.
Does anybody know a better camera app for ArrowOS 12.1?

Hi all,
Does anybody know the status of the ArrowOS 13 development for the starlte? I know there is a Telegram group to contact the developers, but I don't want to install Russian software on my device.
Thanks for any reply in advance.
Kind regards,
Eric

@baddar commented on this yesterday. A13.0 still has too many bugs and is keeping it on hold for now.

The dev just gave us an update, they're unfortunately not going to be able to support active development and support anymore. They are , however working with the folks at LineageOS to make it officially support the device too.

That's indeed very unfortunate. I've always been a big fan of ArrowOs because of it's a clean ROM without bloatware.
Thanks for the update, I guess I will have to switch to the Pixes Experience ROM then.

I was also a fan of AOS 12.1. I'm on LOS 20.0 now. This runs very smoothly. Maybe give it a try?

Regarding updates I think many notice that OTA was stopped and the download links showing as discontinued. That because android 12.0 support has been ended in favor of 12.1 which will be available soon.
The problem with 12.1 is google released a broken sources AGAIN and the current state of 12.1 is not good for public release. I would estimate another month for a stable release.

    How to enable encryption

I posted this in Telegram Channel :

"One important thing is the encryption thing and I know the majority voted for it to be included but I'm truly sorry to go against the majority as encryption will make my development work much slower and there will be always a risk to lose data from my side which I can't afford. So no force encryption in arrow-12.1 and it won't work unless it was forced at boot(changed in fstab).

However I'm planning to provide a flashable file that will enable encryption but it need further testing to make sure everything is working correctly.

I hope everyone understand my decision and sorry again if you don't agree with it."

    Flashing Instruction

    Steps :

Coming from Arrow 12.0 or different ROMs

    1-Wipe vendor , system , data , cache

2- Flash Rom , gapps (for Vanilla version) and magisk (if needed)

    3- Reboot

    From unofficial Arrow 12.1

    Drifty flash.

Difference between Arrow 11 and Arrow 12 for our devices :

LZ4 was updated to latest available.
Zstd was updated from linux kernel 5.10.
Ok google is fully working (on/off screen)
    Google maps no longer zoomed
    Cleaned up the trees

    Recommend Gapps for vanilla version:
    Flamegapps basic

How to make ok google working (Vanilla version)
    Flash flamegapps basic
Flash flamegapps addon (search and assistant)
Assign google app as default assistant
    Give google app all permissions
