My sensation is still running this.

If you're happy iwth it there's no reason not to run it.

I loved this ROM when I was using it. It was a really nice build. And it was from the days before CM got more 'refined' and took out all the really obscure hacks and tweaks like the bottom status bar and built in permissions management. Even though CM10 is awesome and runs smooth as silk, I miss the 'nerdier' style of CM7 sometimes.

100% agree. The newer cm has removed quite a few of my most favorite little features. Cm7 is the more customizable rom. I'm not sure I'm happy with the direction Android is going.

I Actually love to have AOKP, but at its very early stage, it had issue with sdcard format which was known for bricking phones, it really forced me to stay away from AOKP, don't know if it still have that issue..by reading its features, i wanted 100 times to flash it
In running it now and have been for a week. No issues. It's no beta but a full blown rc-dd.

Has anyone updated this? How hard would it be to ask someone to just compile another build from whatever the current commits are?

There are no more updates for the Sensation specific, as far as I know kmobs does not even own a Sensation any more. However, compiling a build yoursef with upstream changes shouldn't be too hard. There are a few guides on how to do it here on XDA.
