First of all, amazing stuff man. This dev community just keeps getting better and better :)

Second, I have some feature recommendations, since this could be customized more than Andromadus :D

-Is it possible to implement using the trackpad button to pick up calls and disconnect them ( like it was there in CM7 ).. cuz I feel that would help people like me with lots of contacts loading slowly to just pick up the calls.

Next, I had some questions.

-Can this be installed over Andromadus B4 with just cache/dalvik wipes?
-Do I need to reinstall Edkeys' RIL files
-I use Nova Prime, if I select Nova during the install, will my Prime still be usable? Or should I install another launcher like Trebuchet for default and leave my Nova Prime installed as it is ( in /data/app/ )
-I rather like using the notification tray icon for multitasking versus the Search key. Is that implemented? I don't mind changing, since the Search key implementation is better, but force of habit :(
-Is it possible to get the carrier to show up in the notification bar iPhone/MIUI style?

I think that's all for now. If anyone could, ya know, answer these in or out of order, I'd be really happy..
PS. Sorry for the incredible amount of questions too :p.

I made the switch from sense, the only thing i miss really is the clock widget (although Fancy Widgets will cater for that) and the friendstream widget (yet to find something like it, suggestions anyone?).

This ROM is working well so far, tons of customising options etc... good work to all.

EDIT:: One suggestion for the ROM, bearing in mind I have been out of the loop for a while with this stuff but..., On previous ROMs I used (Virtuous) using OCUV Beater 2 1.7 I had the option to UV or OV aswell as the virtuous OC option (which is in this ROM....good stuff). Is this a big issue to add??
Other ICS kernels should run no problem with the ROM, though all the kernels currently in use are the same as the one in Mimicry, which is fyodor's kernel (or based almost entirely off his).
I've left the kernel as is, so there is no option to undervolt.

Undervolting offers no battery savings and if not set properly will just make things unstable.

Whats the camera preview like on this rom ( find it incredibly blurry on all other ICS roms)

Pictures would be lovely if anyone has any.
The camera suffers from a slight blurring. Unfortunately this is something affecting all ICS roms and is being worked on by other members of the Andromadus team.

Is it just me or is the centre clock mod gone? o.o other than that, great rom, smooth and customizable. I would like the optimus 4X lockscreen mod to be added, which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24811293
CM9 doesn't have a center clock mod, but it's on my list of things to do.

I used to actually include the O4X Style Lockscreen mod as part of the rom but took it out as evilisto's code now deviates too much from the CM9 lockscreen's. That link you listed was last updated before CM added weather and calendar, so the O4X lockscreen is quite outdated in terms of functionality.

If he decides to include some of the new CM features in his mod I will look into it again though.

Call answer with the trackpad is something suggested before and is a feature request I added to Andromadus Audacity before I started work on this rom so it's definitely something I'd like to do.

You can try to flash over, but the roms installer will wipe cache and dalvik for you automatically. Make a backup first and do a full wipe if you suffer from any abnormalities.

Right now I've only included Ed's WiFi Calling package, so you'll need to flash his RIL one after you flash this rom.

I too use Nova Prime and you'll be good to go if you select Nova as your launcher on installation. Prime is a separate package and tantamount to a key that unlocks the regular version.

You can definitely have the recent apps icon as a notification shortcut. Since you use Nova you'll find it as an Activity within Nova when you go to assign the shortcut. I've also included the recent apps icon as a stock icon for individuals like yourself who prefer it there rather than as the search key.

Lastly, carrier customization is something I've considered, though my memory fails when I try to think of how miui has it. Is it up top in the drawer?

Hope that helps!

Just checked this out, camera sound can be disabled by adjusting your notification sound. As for panorama, I know we recently switched entirely to cm9's camera app and that may be the cause. Will investigate further.

Thanks very much for the response :)

Here's what MIUI looks like. The carrier is up in the system tray.

Well, I have this downloaded, so I'm gonna give it a run!

Check out Android Pro Widgets :D it has scrollable Facebook and Twitter widgets and is themable :)

But I look forward to flashing this new ROM, as it looks to make everything very convenient. I think I will do so once you integrate making the ICS/GB recent apps toggle :) (and I just flashed to flinny97... can't flash too often haha)

feature request:
not sure if you already have this in your requests but I've been asking for custom carrier labels since virtous quattro went out of business (that's a really long time ago) they had it and I really enjoyed that feature. I remember you saying it was easy to implement but you never included it or told me how to do it. so I ask again, can u please include this feature.

oh and I'm on flinnys test builds so I'm guessing I can't flash right to this because of it being deoxed. so throw the feature in the test builds too ;)

Is there a fix available for missing or incorrect album art for CM9 Apollo Music Player??

Please link if yes..
I've heard there are issues w/ Apollo. I actually don't use it, I prefer Google Play Music, which normally you have to side-load, but honestly it's the fastest and most reliable ICS music player for me. (I also don't use their streaming service, only have music on my sdcard)

Custom carrier is on my list and it's been mentioned a few times in this thread already, so there's a good chance it'll be in a near future build :)

You can try flashing this ROM over flinny's build. The installer will format /system /cache and wipe your dalvik cache too so you shouldn't have to do anything. As always, make a backup first & do a full wipe if you encounter FCs or suspicious lag/glitching.

well heres my question, is it more worth it to flash this or the test builds? which will be updated more frequently?

I can't tell you Flinny's release schedule, but he typically releases new test builds when a decent amount of changes have been made to the CM9 repos. Lately there has been a code freeze, and as such the repos have seen a lot less activity.

Mimicry however will update independently of any CM9 related changes since I'm developing new features that don't rely on others.

When Mimicry was in alpha testing, I was releasing a new build every 5-7 days on average -- again, usually after changes had been made to my new features or the CM9 repo. There's no point in putting out updates if nothing changes. :)

To others curious about the future release schedule of this ROM, I believe a release schedule of every ~5 days would be ideal. What people might not understand is that the majority of the commits to the CM9 repos are either translations or fixes for device hardware that has no effect on the Vision.

If there are new features or important fixes pushed upstream then I will definitely release ASAP, so if that was the case there could be multiple releases in a week. Similarly, if I'm able to add a new feature or make changes to an existing feature and I feel like it's been tested thoroughly enough I will push a release with that feature included.

Though as I'm saying all this I'm also preparing for my first vacation in a year next week ;) I released 1.1.0 before going away so I could get initial feedback and gauge the popularity of possible features. I'm going to be working on it while I'm on vacation, but at this point I really can't set anything in stone.

Is flash working in camera app for everyone?.
I just flashed this over a personal build from andromadus repo dated on June 15. Asking before wiping all to test.

I just wanted to chime in here after flashing this yesterday. So far, everything is working as it should. I haven't had any graphical glitches in the launcher (Trebuchet), but I've had them a few times in the Play Store and a couple of other apps. Killing the app fixes it. The camera with flash works. I especially like the Aroma Installer. That is a handy tool! I think this will be my main ROM from now on.

"Album Art Grabber" from the play store works all the time for me.

Everything bout this rom is awesome!
works amazing so far.

HOWEVER... i can't stand it when roms don't come with Digital Clock widgets.
I dunno, just me. I hate analog clocks for quick viewing and I like the stock DigiClock just fine (Don't want to add the cheap sense imitations).

any chance of putting that in?

Thanks!

It could be considered as an addition via Aroma, rather than being included by default. Would need to have some people weigh in that they would also want it though ;)

Definitely my new DD. This rom has so many features that I have yet to see in another rom. Props to you blk jack for putting out one of the best roms on the market.
