cannot resist to install 5.1.1_r14 before 6.0 will be released, perhaps the testers could give some hints and tips as to what to expect and/or on what to pay special attention, assuming that the feature list will be close to hammerhead variant.
Just flashed this rom and must say it seems perfect. Will be looking forward to MM. Thanks for the rom!

Smart Radio, InCall Blocker, Smart Timeout, put <b>any</b> toggle you want in the Quick Toggles, Battery styles, Led Control, Battery saver options, Notification Control, App Opps, Swipe to sleep + all those miscellaneous tweaks.

I'm one of the testers, so I'm coming from N5( still keep it for work phone). Been using Cata for ages on N5, everything works perfectly on N6 as well. All futures are in. Can't wait for @atl4ntis to get his hands on MM.

Another early tester here. I initially had trouble getting T-Mobile data to work, but the latest build has resolved it. I also came from the N5 camp. Very happy to be able to use Cataclysm as the daily driver on my N6!
I'm on T-Mobile too and I had a same problem, but after couple update he nail it. Glad to have Cata on N6

Heard really good things about it as well so I flashed it several hours ago. So far I've had no issues and its fast. Using power nap, greenify and amplify I'm seeing 0.1% idle drain.
I noticed the notification light is supposed to pulse? Or is that wrong terminology within the settings dialog? My definitely doesn't pulse but no big deal.

I am really happy that Cataclsym is supported on N6 . I just jumped from N4 and still working great with Cataclsym.
I would like ask you If ambient display is supported on Cata N6. Because that feature is not exist current N5 and N4 builds.

@atl4ntis noticed one thing with the dark layers theme, in the ambient light mode if used a dark theme, its hard to read the text.
So themes DO work in this ROM? I"m having a heck of a time getting any of my usual layers to work. They appear to apply and then I reboot but the only change I can see is that sometimes the upper status bar might change colors. I've tried Art, Pitch Black, Midnight and I think Slate so far.
Does anyone know a trick to get the network traffic throughput to display in the status bar? Also I'd love to find a way to get my battery percentage text to display beside my circle icon in the status bar.
Flashed this Rom last night and everything seemed to work fine. Started with the custom install in aroma but ended up just installing everything that was defaulted. Also installed Google Now. After getting everything set up including reinstalling my apps with TB (no system apps reinstalled) I slid over to the Google Now screen where there was an error message that I needed Play Services installed for Google Now to work. Clicked the message to go get Play Services and got another message that indicated that Play Services wasn't available for my device or something along the line that Play Services was not available for my device (my n6) - sorry but it was late last night and I was getting tired so I can't remember the exact message.
Anyone else have this issue or any idea of what might have caused the issue?

yup, confirmed, running latest (and only) cata on shamu now with xposed and dark RRO. very good, just had to replace GB with flat style module and no issues exactly as you say. i'm sure it won't take long, there is for sure no better way to switch api versions than with the work of @atl4ntis :good:
install xposed framework and flat style navbar module and you can tweak it 100% as you like, it as well does not interfere with default settings, i mean no issues like reboots and FCs but then i still recommend to deactivate the related checkbox i cata. i have same like you, posting a few shots to illustrate (bordeaux theme), installed through the night in one go till 07:30 a.m. and all up and running, very much recommended, coming from blissrom v4.0.3
another set of shots (green theme) show the N5 on M 6.0, no comparison but as mentioned it's promising once we have a rom and xposed

Hello everyone,
one of the strongest points of Cataclysm is the approach "don't fix what ain't broken".
Of course the features need to be coded, they need to be innovative and bug free, but still that approach is very important aswell.
Long ago i wrote a post which explained how Cataclysm is made and that it only differs few files from stock firmware.
While coding wise the changed files were very few, 9/10, i had to "prepare" the stock firmware to "accept" those files.
That caused some issues:
- unnecessary changes on system
- firmware had to be deodexed and this have always brought up unknown results and errors due to this process
- gapps issues
- need of deep testing new modified firmware even if Cataclysm code was untouched
- slower releases on big changes like dalvik-->art etc etc.
Today i'm bringing this to a whole new level as you can now just copy those few files directly over a stock firmware/rom.
Had to do crazy stuff coding wise but my dream come true, this is huge.
I understand many people don't like changes or underestimate the flexibility this will bring, but we're on XDA, we create stuff, we think different, we do new things, this is development.
If i didn't think outside the box Cataclysm would've been just another "rom" with the same stuff syndrome.
Introducing Cataclysm Mod.
Cataclysm Mod is a small zip, 30Mb ish, which will convert your stock firmware to Cataclysm seamlessy, no wipes are even needed.
Every future Cataclysm will just be a small zip, like those delta updates you used to love.
While i'm calling this a Mod, we're still talking of a fully featured firmware or as many call it, a ROM.
I don't like this "mod" name though but it will help the transition, also i've faith you'll help here the people who won't understand how to install this.
If you're wondering what are the advantage of it, well it's simple:
- no more fiddling with big zips,
- no more deodexing issues
- focus only on code and features
- more bug proof then ever
- way faster updates on new sources
- no more betas on new sources due unnecessary changes, it will just work
- supporting more devices would take minutes only (N5P/N5X soon)
- first clean boot will take seconds only.
- more /data space available.
- 100% legal as it doesn't contain any proprietary stuff.
This whole new flexibility comes with a small cost though.
Three features have been removed, little ones, the previous not working ones have been included now, like every per-app settings (Wake/Led/LockscreenNotifications).
You may need to setup them again, but now they're backuppable!
Force encryption will be still disabled, you can enable it by yourself though.

First, i won't add date on status bar or percentage beside battery cause there's no space and they would overlap the center clock.
This had been taken from another rom:
Second, the lack of delta update was an exception for stable release. I will continue to provide deltas in the future, don't worry.
Keep in mind on new sources drop there won't be a delta cause every file changes and a delta zip would be pretty much the whole rom.
Here's my plan about the future.
I'm pretty confident we will have new sources in a week/10 days cause N5X and N5P have been left behind and also our devices needs some bug fixing.
Also there will be a security update on November.
My plan is to wait for new sources and working on N5X and N6P releases and then will start working again on our devices.
Shouldn't be an issue, we got a stable, fully featured with more features then LP firmware already and other roms will take months to come even closer.
In general, as there will be a source drop every month, things should go like this:
New sources --> Big beta zip --> 20 days of active development with delta updates --> Big stable zip --> one week of slack.
