Just installed mimax out of curiosity after a few weeks on crdroid (which is great aosp rom by the way). Rom is really what miui should be. fast right from the setup, great battery life without any tweak, few pre-installed apps... also it seems more polished to me than one os which I've also been using on poco F3. Thanks deathstroke47 for sharing those rom on xda. people like me who don't use telegram would miss a big deal otherwise ^^
You are right, this rom is better than OneOS. Now I don't flash any other MIUI rom. If I find a better ROM, I will share it. :)

My only concern with custom roms (aosp and miui) is support and updating process. On my poco I struggled to do some dirty flashes with crdroid for instance. I'd like to stick with a custom rom updated regularily with a simple update process or OTA. Is by any chance casanova updatable OTA, or easily via twrp without needing to format data ?

Casanova rom don't need format data while updating.

I don't think that this ROM is better than OneOS. What I do not understand, if this ROM MIUI xy is used as a template, why many areas are not translated?
Why no notification works after a few days? What about SMS save to MI account?
All things that run on XIAOMI.EU u OneOS.

This rom casanova 12.5.14 is based on xiaomi.eu , more debloated and optimized. Blame xiaomi.eu if something is not translated. If you have notification problem. update notifications app.

even if I've had a bit of drain this night, battery life for an average day (browsing, mails, 1hr of Netflix) is quite good. funny thing, I couldn't find where to prevent apps from running in the background in apps or Battery settings. maybe the responsible package has been dropped while debloating? also I can't find the option for screen dimming which is available on some miui rom (but maybe Casanova doesn't offer it). Also I miss the possility to disable some system apps directly from apps info (video, gboard) but it can be done with adb. After 3 days my experience has been really great on this rom, which gives the best from miui without the clutter.

PS: having been a gcam user since I got my F3, coming back on a miui with Casanova, I've realized stock cam has improved a lot! even if render differs a bit (more noise on miui cam) I find quality to be now on par with gcam, which wasn't the case 3 months ago.

Battery And Performance app is debloated in max version. If you install that app , you will be able to stop apps from running in background. If screen dimming is not there, it is also not in the base xiaomi.eu rom.
